As expected, Bears LB Jerrell Freeman (wrist) is active for tonight's game against the Packers. He had been questionable but didn't miss any practice time. Use him as you normally would in your IDP lineup.
The Bears placed LB Jerrell Freeman on IR this week, and he'll miss the rest of the season. The veteran suffered a torn pectoral muscle that will require surgery. On top of that season-ender, Freeman also sustained a concussion. Nick Kwiatkoski looks like the 1st man up to replace Freeman. There will obviously be tackles available to Kwiatkoski and Danny Trevathan, who played 71% of the snaps in Chicago's Week 1 loss to Atlanta. But IDP owners shouldn't expect any Bear to approximate Freeman's consistent production. Freeman could be a candidate for release in the upcoming offseason, heading toward his age-32 season.
Bears LB Jerrell Freeman rejoined the team Monday after serving his 4-game PED suspension. He should work right back into the lineup next to LB Nick Kwiatkoski for Sunday's game against Washington. Freeman will be starter material in nearly all IDP leagues. He averaged 9.2 total tackles per game through his 1st 10 contests.
The Bears announced Monday that the league has suspended LB Jerrell Freeman 4 games for violating the PED policy. That takes a top-10 fantasy LB out of many IDP lineups and leaves LB Danny Trevathan as the defense's best bet for tackles. Trevathan's coming off 2 straight games of 9 solos and 11+ total stops. Freeman's safe to drop for another option, as he'll only return for weeks 16 and 17.
Bears LB Jerrell Freeman is questionable for Thursday night's game against the Packers with a wrist injury. Chicago listed him as limited every day this week, and Freeman didn't miss a single snap in Sunday's loss to the Jaguars. We'd bet on him playing, though we'll check on his status Thursday night.
The Bears have agreed to a 3-year deal with LB Jerrell Freeman. The former Colt delivered 145 and 126 tackles in his 1st 2 seasons after arriving from the CFL. Injuries cost him 7 total games over the past 2 years, but he still finished 15th in fantasy points per game among LBs (depending on your format) last season. He joins former Bronco Danny Trevathan in a dramatically improved ILB group. We'll see about their respective values as we get into 2016 IDP projections.
