The San Diego Union-Tribune reports that Chargers ILB Jatavis Brown will likely miss "a week or two" after suffering a knee injury in Sunday's loss to Atlanta. That might make fellow rookie Joshua Perry and former Raiders practice-squad member Korey Toomer the starters Sunday against the Titans. That's because LB Denzel Perryman also left the Week 8 game with a hamstring injury after just 8 plays. We'll see about Perryman's status this week, as well as what we might learn about the roles for whoever plays ILB in San Diego in Week 9.
The Chargers have ruled out LB Jatavis Brown for Sunday's game against the Ravens because of an ankle injury. That leaves the Chargers' LB corps with no one worth trusting in most IDP lineups. It adds upside to S Adrian Phillips and S Derwin James, though.
The Chargers plan to start Denzel Perryman at weak-side LB in his return from IR this week against Jacksonville, with LB Hayes Pullard continuing to play the middle, according to Jack Wang of the Los Angeles Daily News. That would leave Jatavis Brown out of the lineup after his playing time dipped to 25% before the Week 9 bye. Brown's fine to drop in IDP leagues if you haven't already. Pullard looks like the guy to use if you need 1 this week, and then we'll see about everyone's usage going forward.
Chargers LB Jatavis Brown is active for today's game against the Raiders. An ankle injury that cut his playing time in half last week continued to limit his practice time. Brown did participate more this week than last, though, and is OK to use as a lower-level IDP starter.
Chargers LB Jatavis Brown (ankle) is questionable for Sunday's game against the Raiders. He played just 50% of the snaps last week against the Giants but then put in limited practices Wednesday and Thursday before a full workout Friday. There's some risk vs. the usual level of Brown, but he's worth pushing into IDP lineups this week.
Chargers OLB Jatavis Brown (ankle) is active for today's game against the Giants. He'll certainly carry durability risk but is also too good for most IDP owners to sit when available. The Chargers also made MLB Korey Toomer a healthy scratch for the 1st time this season. That leaves more snaps available for Hayes Pullard, who has outplayed Toomer to this point.
