There's been a consistent buzz on Rams TE Tyler Higbee over the past couple of weeks. "Expect big things from Tyler," GM Les Snead said from the Combine. HC Sean McVay is excited to work with the 2nd-year TE. "Nice catch radius," McVay said. "He can stretch the seam; he's got a good feel and savvy in the pass game." McVay arrives from Washington, where Redskins TEs ranked 5th in targets (289), 5th in receiving yards (2,397) and tied for 3rd in TDs (20) over the past 2 seasons. Higbee is no Jordan Reed, but he is a 6'6, 249-pounder with plus athleticism. And there's lots of target upside with TE Lance Kendricks gone and a WR corps led by Robert Woods and Tavon Austin.
Rams TE Tyler Higbee (elbow) is active for today’s game against the 49ers. He’ll continue splitting TE duties with Gerald Everett.
Rams TE Tyler Higbee (elbow) did not practice all week. He’s listed as questionable for Sunday’s game against the 49ers, and HC Sean McVay labeled him a game-time decision. But fantasy owners shouldn’t be counting on Higbee this week. His absence would turn TE Gerald Everett into a viable spot starter.
Rams TE Tyler Higbee is dealing with an elbow injury, HC Sean McVay said Wednesday. This doesn't sound like a serious issue, but Higbee's status will be worth monitoring over the next few days. His absence would make TE Gerald Everett a viable Week 12 streamer vs. the 49ers.
Rams TE Tyler Higbee (hand) is active for today’s game against the Dolphins. He wasn’t a reliable fantasy option before this injury and obviously won’t be at 100% today. Higbee’s presence knocks TE Gerald Everett out of consideration, though.
Rams TE Tyler Higbee (hand) is "pushing to play" against the Dolphins today, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. "But with the bye coming up and Johnny Mundt filling in capably, it might make sense to rest Higbee again and let him heal. Higbee could sit for those reasons," Rapoport adds. We'll get Higbee's official status around 11:30 am ET. TE Gerald Everett will be a viable spot starter if Higbee is inactive after posting a 4-28-1 line on 5 targets last week.
