The Chargers are "eyeing" an October debut for WR Mike Williams (back), according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. That likely means he'll land on the reserve PUP list, opening up a roster spot but costing Williams the first 6 games of the season. The rookie has resumed sprinting and is "making solid progress," per Rapoport. So it at least looks like the Chargers will get to see their 1st-rounder on the field this year. But he figures to be used in a limited role early on. Williams won't be a fantasy factor until the 2nd half of the season, at the earliest.

Chargers WR Mike Williams (groin) will play against the Broncos this weekend. He was added to the injury report and limited on Thursday — but then put in a full practice on Friday. Williams has played less than 50% of the offensive snaps in 2 straight games, though, so he can’t be trusted in fantasy lineups.

Chargers WR Mike Williams has been the star of training camp so far, according to the team's official website. He had a pair of TDs in Saturday's scrimmage, plus a big play downfield in a contested-catch situation. "He's just continuing to get better and better,” QB Philip Rivers said of Williams. “Shoot, we know what Mike is capable of. It's just a matter of being out here each and every day, as he has been. He continues to make plays every day, and with those plays comes more confidence. He will be a big part of our offense." HC Anthony Lynn noted that Williams is more comfortable in the scheme with a healthy offseason under his belt. Set to play a significant role in a strong passing game, the 7th overall pick of last year's draft has some breakout potential this year. Williams is a strong value at his 14th-round ADP.

Chargers WR Mike Williams suffered a bone bruise on his knee in Thursday's win over the Cowboys, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. The rookie will miss Week 13 and is considered "week-to-week" beyond that. Williams' role had been slowly growing, but this injury kills any chance he had of being a fantasy factor this season. He can be dropped from redraft rosters.

Chargers WR Mike Williams (knee) is active for today's game against the Cowboys. So is WR Travis Benjamin (abdomen). Both entered the day questionable. Neither is a worthwhile fantasy option, though.

ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that Chargers WR Mike Williams (back) will make his NFL debut against the Raiders today. The rookie figures to be on a snap count and play a limited role. He's not a fantasy option this week but is worth stashing in deeper leagues as a potential 2nd-half asset.
