Lions WR Marvin Jones caught a team-high 4 balls for 34 yards and a TD in Saturday's game against the Jets. MLive's Kyle Meinke wrote afterward that Jones "has been great this summer." It was Meinke, of course, who generated buzz last summer by projecting that Jones would actually outproduce Golden Tate and work as Detroit's lead receiver in his 1st season with the team. Jones tailed off badly after a big start to the season. It's not hard to envision a bounce back from that, however, and his late-Round 10 ADP still has Jones in just WR4 range. That's solid value, especially in an offense that has ranked among the league's most pass-heavy for just about Matthew Stafford's entire career.
Lions WR Marvin Jones made his preseason debut against the Bills on Friday night. He was sidelined for at least a week of practice in mid-August with knee trouble, but that doesn't appear to be an issue any longer. Jones is a fine value at his 9th-round, WR43 ADP.
Lions WR Marvin Jones has missed the last week of practice with knee trouble and won't play in the 2nd preseason game, the Detroit Press' Dave Birkett reports. Jones, of course, missed the final 7 games of last year with a knee injury that required surgery. "Again we’re just trying to take some time off to make sure we’re being smart with it in the situation," HC Matt Patricia said Thursday. This has become a situation to monitor. Hopefully Jones can play in Detroit's 3rd exhibition.
Lions WR Marvin Jones (knee) didn’t practice all week and is out for Sunday’s game against the Panthers. He’s going for a 2nd opinion on that injured knee, which usually isn’t a good sign. Jones’ absence leaves T.J. Jones, Brandon Powell and Bruce Ellington behind Kenny Golladay on the WR depth chart. Golladay should dominate targets this weekend. And RB Theo Riddick figures to play a big role in the passing game.
Lions WR Marvin Jones (knee) did not practice on Wednesday. His injury isn't serious, but he's certainly not a lock to be ready for this weekend's game against the Panthers. Jones' absence would turn WR Kenny Golladay into a target hog and also boost RB Theo Riddick's target projection.
ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that Lions WR Marvin Jones sustained a bone bruise in his right knee in Sunday's loss to the Bears and is "day to day." That's much better news than it could have been. We'll keep an eye on Jones' status heading into Sunday's matchup with the Panthers.
