A source tells NFL Network's Ian Rapoport that Giants WR Brandon Marshall will "be fine" after injuring his shoulder in Monday night's preseason game. We didn't notice Marshall get hurt -- and it never seemed like a serious concern. Consider his fantasy stock unaffected.

Recent Shark Bites

The Saints have signed WR Brandon Marshall. It's Plan B after they lost WR Dez Bryant to a torn Achilles. Marshall is 34 now and has looked out of gas for the past couple of seasons. We'll see if he can make an impact in New Orleans, but we wouldn't bother adding him to fantasy rosters right now.

Seahawks WR Brandon Marshall revealed on Wednesday that he had toe surgery last year to address an issue that's bothered him since the 2015 season. That was in addition to the surgery he had on the injured left ankle that ended his 2017 campaign. “Knew I needed surgery but it was one of those things where I was going to wait until I retire because a surgery like that it takes five, six, seven months to get back right," Marshall explained. "I didn’t want to lose my offseason so I was going to wait until I retire. When I snapped my ankle I said ‘well, I’ve got half of the season and then I’ve got the offseason so I might as well do it now.’ That’s the thing that took the longest." Marshall said he's now running pain-free but also admitted he's not yet in football shape. He should get there by the time training camp opens, but it remains to be seen what's left in his tank. Marshall hauled in just 18 of 33 targets (54.4%) and averaged a career-low 8.6 yards per catch in 5 appearances last season. He turned 34 in March.

The Seahawks have agreed to a 1-year deal with free-agent WR Brandon Marshall, ESPN reports. The move comes well after Marshall visited Seattle, but he enters a depth chart with opportunity available. Doug Baldwin is the only incumbent at the position who has surpassed 71 targets in a season. We'll see what Marshall has left after a lackluster pre-injury stint with the Giants. He caught just 18 of 33 targets and averaged 8.6 yards per catch over 5 games. His Seahawks deal could reportedly be worth up to $2 million with incentives, less per-year money than Seattle gave Jaron Brown. Unless Marshall proves totally cooked this summer, though, his arrival complicates the target picture behind Baldwin. Tyler Lockett's later-round ADP will make him a solid upside bet. We'll see where others settle on the depth chart and ADP charts over the next couple of months.

The Giants on Thursday released WR Brandon Marshall. According to Ralph Vacchiano of SNY, the team released Marshall with a "failed physical designation." The veteran WR landed on IR in early October after suffering a severe high ankle sprain. Marshall, however, seemed to believe that he'd be sticking around for 2018 when he recently commented that there wasn't room on the Giants roster to add Dez Bryant. We'll see now whether Marshall's release creates just such an opportunity. For now, Odell Beckham, Sterling Shepard and Evan Engram stand as Eli Manning's top 3 targets.

Giants WR Brandon Marshall announced Monday on Instagram that he will have left ankle surgery Tuesday and miss the rest of the season. That leaves the Giants without their top 2 WRs -- at least heading into the season -- with Sterling Shepard also potentially out the next game or 2. Roger Lewis is now worth a stronger look on waivers, as his prominence should last well beyond matchups with the Broncos and Seahawks the next 2 weeks. This could be the end of Marshall's career.
