Redskins WR Ryan Grant sustained a concussion in the 1st half of Sunday's game against the Vikings. He hauled in all 3 of his targets for 25 yards before exiting. We'll track his progress through the protocol this coming week, but Grant hasn't been much of a fantasy factor this season.
The Raiders have signed WR Ryan Grant, according to ESPN's Field Yates. Grant had a big opportunity with the Colts last year but mustered just a 35-334-1 line on 52 targets. He's yet to top 45 catches or 573 yards through 5 NFL seasons and is averaging just 11.1 yards per catch. Grant joins Antonio Brown, Tyrell Williams and J.J. Nelson in Oakland's new-look WR corps.
The Colts expect WR Ryan Grant to return for today's game against the Jaguars after he missed the past 2 with an ankle sprain, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. Grant figures to be the #2 WR going forward, but we'd bet on a continued spreading of targets for Indy. Grant topped 3 catches in just 3 of the season's 1st 6 games, despite high passing volume from QB Andrew Luck. Grant also has yet to reach 70 receiving yards in a game this season.
Colts WR Ryan Grant was knocked out of Sunday's game against the Jets with an ankle injury. Indy is already without WR T.Y. Hilton, leaving them with Chester Rogers, Zach Pascal and Marcus Johnson.
Colts HC Frank Reich said Sunday that Ryan Grant has "separated" from the pack in the competition for the team's #2 WR job. Chester Rogers has reportedly struggled early in camp, and rookie Deon Cain has "leveled off of late" after a strong start, according to the Indy Star's Zak Keefer. This battle isn't over yet. But if you're taking a shot on a Colts WR late in your draft, Grant looks like your guy for now.
The Colts have signed WR Ryan Grant to a 1-year, $5 million deal. It's much less than he was set to make before his deal with the Ravens was voided due to a failed physical, but this contract is a much better proxy for what Grant's actually worth. That said, there's opportunity in Indianapolis, where Grant is currently set to compete with Chester Rogers for #2 WR duties behind T.Y. Hilton. We'll see if the Colts make a significant addition at WR in the draft.
