Panthers TE Greg Olsen (foot) is listed as questionable for Sunday’s game against the Saints. He didn’t practice all week, though, so we’d be surprised if he plays. Even if he does, Olsen can’t be trusted in fantasy lineups after exiting last week’s game.

Recent Shark Bites

The Panthers have signed TE Greg Olsen to a 2-year, $17.1 million deal. He was set to enter the final year of his contract but is now locked up with the Panthers through the 2020 season. Olsen's 2017 was wrecked by broken right foot, but he did flash with lines of 9-116-1 and 8-107-1 over his final 4 outings (including the playoffs). He'd topped 1,000 yards in each of the previous 3 years. Olsen turned 33 in March, but this extension means the Panthers believe there's plenty of gas left in his tank. He's been going in the later 6th round as TE6 in recent best-ball drafts.

Panthers TE Greg Olsen (foot) is active for today’s game against the Vikings. He put in 3 full practices this week, and HC Ron Rivera said Olsen won’t be on a snap count. Still, he remains a risky fantasy play after failing to make it through the entire game last time out. Minnesota also ranks 6th in fantasy points allowed to TEs.

Panthers TE Greg Olsen (foot) returned to practice on Wednesday. That puts him on track to play against the Vikings as long as that foot holds up throughout the week. Olsen will be extremely tough to trust in fantasy lineups, though, after lasting just a little more than 1 half last time out.

Panthers TE Greg Olsen (foot) is inactive for today’s game against the Saints. Carolina expects him back for Week 14, but we’ll see how that foot holds up throughout next week. TE Ed Dickson starts today but would be a desperation fantasy play.
