Chargers TE Hunter Henry suffered a "small" laceration of a kidney in Saturday night's loss to the Chiefs, HC Anthony Lynn said Monday. Henry's status for the final 2 games of the season is "up in the air," according to Lynn. We'll track his status throughout the week, but fantasy owners obviously need to be making backup plans.

The Chargers announced that TE Hunter Henry suffered a tibia plateau fracture to his left knee in Sunday's win over the Colts. For what it's worth, this is the opposite knee in which he tore his ACL last spring. Henry will "continue to be evaluated" and a timetable for his return "has not yet been determined," per the team's statement. There are 3 instances of a tibia plateau fracture in Sports Injury Predictor's database. Those guys (Nate Burleson, Anthony Hitchens and Daniel Sorensen) missed anywhere from 1 to 3 months. We should learn more about Henry's status over the next few days, but fantasy owners obviously need to plan to be without him for a while. Virgil Green is currently the Chargers' backup TE. (We'll see if they try to bring Antonio Gates back.) Henry's absence will push even more targets to WR Keenan Allen and RB Austin Ekeler.

Update: ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that the Chargers are expecting Henry to miss 4-6 weeks.

Chargers TE Hunter Henry (knee) is active for today's game against the Patriots. He was a full-go in practice all week but still figures to be on a strict snap count in his 1st action game action since May's torn ACL. That said, there's some upside here vs. a New England defense that finished the regular season 26th in Adjusted Fantasy Points Allowed to TEs.

Chargers TE Hunter Henry (knee) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Patriots. He put in a full week of practice and is seemingly on track to play after being activated from the PUP list on Monday. Assuming he's active, Henry will be on a snap count in his 1st action since May's torn ACL.

The Chargers have activated TE Hunter Henry (knee) from the PUP list. He should play against the Patriots this weekend, barring a setback in practice this week. Henry is 7-and-a-half months removed from tearing his ACL and has been practicing for 3 weeks now. He'll be on some type of snap count on Sunday but has some DFS tournament appeal vs. New England's 26th-ranked TE defense.

The Chargers did not activate TE Hunter Henry (knee) for Sunday's game against the Ravens. Henry has been practicing for a few weeks now and ostensibly has a shot to play next weekend if the Chargers advance. Antonio Gates will continue to serve as L.A.'s lead pass-catching TE vs. Baltimore. The future Hall-of-Famer has seen 12 targets over his last 3 games, including 5 in the Week 16 meeting with the Ravens.
