The Texans added Texas Tech WR Keke Coutee in the 4th round of the 2018 NFL Draft. Coutee is 1 of the most electric receivers in this year’s class, with 4.4 speed and loads of wiggle. He averaged 15.2 yards per catch over his 3-year college career and enjoyed a breakout 93-1,429-10 2017 campaign. Coutee ranked 10th in yards per route run among all draft-eligible receivers last year, according to Pro Football Focus. The knocks against him? He’s coming from a pass-friendly, non-pro-style offense. And he goes just 5’10, 181 pounds with sub-5th percentile arm length, wingspan and hand size. Coutee’s big-play ability should translate to the pros if he’s deployed properly, though. He has a shot to slide in as the Texans’ #3 WR behind DeAndre Hopkins and Will Fuller. Houston is a building a strong WR corps for QB Deshaun Watson.
Texans WR Keke Coutee (ankle) isn’t listed on the final injury report after putting in a full week of practice. He’s ready to make his 2019 debut against the Jaguars on Sunday. It’ll be interesting to see how Coutee fits in alongside DeAndre Hopkins, Will Fuller and Kenny Stills. We’d try not to use Coutee in Week 2 fantasy lineups.
Texans WR Keke Coutee (ankle) put in a full practice on Wednesday. Barring a setback, he should be ready to make his 2019 debut against the Jaguars on Sunday. We'll have to see how Coutee fits alongside WRs DeAndre Hopkins, Will Fuller and Kenny Stills -- so we'd try not to use Coutee in Week 2 fantasy lineups.
Texans WR Keke Coutee is inactive for tonight's game against the Saints. Coutee's working back from his preseason ankle sprain and managed limited practices all week. He seems likely to be ready for Week 2. We'll keep an eye on his status.
Texans HC Bill O'Brien said Friday that there's a "possibility" WR Keke Coutee (ankle) plays against the Saints on Monday night. "Touch and go, practiced yesterday. He did some decent things," O'Brien said. "We'll have to see how it goes. It's a long season. It was a pretty significant injury to his ankle." Coutee is shaping up as a game-time decision, but he'll be a risky fantasy play if he ends up active.
Texans WR Keke Coutee (ankle) put in a limited practice on Thursday. HC Bill O'Brien has gone back and forth over the past week on Coutee's Week 1 status. Unless he's able to put in a full practice on Friday or Saturday, we'd avoid him in Week 1 fantasy lineups.
