Redskins RB Chris Thompson admitted Tuesday that he doesn't expect to be back to 100% from last year's broken leg until November. "I'm still nervous about making cuts," Thompson said. "I'm nervous about 'what happens if this guy falls and hits my ankle?' ... It's a big mental game." Thompson has been participating in camp and looking good, by most accounts. But any kind of hesitation from a guy who relies on beating defenders with speed, quickness and change-of-direction is noteworthy. Especially with talented rookie Derrius Guice added to the backfield. Thompson continues to be overvalued at his early-7th-round ADP.
Jaguars RB Chris Thompson has been placed on IR with the back injury he suffered in last week's loss to the Packers. He'll miss at least the next 3 games. Dare Ogunbowale replaced Thompson as Jacksonville's chance-of-pace back vs. Green Bay, but James Robinson will continue to dominate backfield work here.
Jaguars RB Chris Thompson suffered a back injury in the 1st quarter of Sunday's game vs. the Packers and is officially questionable to return. If he doesn't, James Robinson figures to handle 100% of Jacksonville's RB touches.
The Jaguars placed RB Chris Thompson on the COVID list. He'll miss Sunday's game against the Chargers -- and potentially more action beyond that. In a corresponding move, RB Devine Ozigbo (hamstring) was activated from IR. Ozigbo looked set to play a big role for the Jags this season before a September hamstring injury sidelined him. James Robinson has taken over Jacksonville's backfield since, but we'll see what kind of role Ozigbo can carve out.
The Jaguars have signed RB Chris Thompson to a 1-year deal. He's reuniting with OC Jay Gruden in Jacksonville after the pair spent the past 6 seasons together in Washington. Thompson has struggled with injuries throughout his career but averaged 3.4 catches and 29 receiving yards per game over the last 5 years. If healthy, he figures to take a big bite out of RB Leonard Fournette's pass-catching production.
Redskins RB Chris Thompson (toe) is active for today’s game against the Panthers. It’ll be his 1st action since Week 6. Thompson should step back in as Washington’s primary pass-catching back but would be a desperation fantasy play today. RB Wendell Smallwood is a healthy scratch.
