Patterson starring in Pats camp | Shark Bites | Draft Sharks

Patriots WR Cordarrelle Patterson has drawn raves from multiple beat writers early in training camp. Mass Live's Andrew Callahan wrote Thursday that it's been "The Cordarrelle Patterson Show" so far. "He's made contested catches at every level of the field and carried the ball with the first-team offense," Callahan adds. The Patriots' WR corps is wide open behind Chris Hogan and Julian Edelman, who's suspended for the first 4 games of the season. Patterson hasn't clicked as a WR through 5 NFL seasons but still has theoretical upside thanks to his supreme athleticism. We'll be keeping a close eye on him this preseason.

Cordarrelle Patterson is expected to provide "depth at RB" for the Falcons, according to insider Orlando Ledbetter. Patterson played 70% of his offensive snaps for the Bears last year at RB, finishing with 64 carries and 21 catches. Atlanta is weak at both RB and WR, so Patterson might end up contributing a bit at both spots this season. He's an intriguing late-round pick in best-ball drafts.

The Falcons signed Cordarrelle Patterson to a 1-year, $3 million deal, NFL Network's Mike Garafolo reports. The 29th overall pick of the 2013 draft has settled in as a return specialist and gadget player. He's averaged just 21 catches per season over the last 4 years but did set a career high with 64 carries in Chicago this past year. There's a chance he gets similar rushing volume in 2021 if Atlanta doesn't make any other additions to its backfield. Still, Patterson will only have fantasy value in leagues that award points for return yardage.

Bears WR/RB Cordarrelle Patterson (knee) is active for today’s game vs. the Jaguars. He might steal a few touches from RB David Montgomery but isn’t a viable fantasy play.

Bears WR/RB Cordarrelle Patterson (knee) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game vs. the Jaguars. He seems unlikely to play after missing practice all week. If Patterson is inactive on Sunday, David Montgomery figures to handle close to 100% of the backfield work.

The Bears have signed WR Cordarrelle Patterson to a 2-year, $10 million deal. The former 1st-rounder has yet to reach 500 receiving yards as a pro but totaled 475 yards with the Patriots last year (247 receiving, 228 rushing). HC Matt Nagy figures to have some fun with C-Patt as a gadget player, but his biggest impact will remain on special teams. Patterson is unlikely to be a reliable fantasy play in Chicago.
