ESPN's Mike Triplett believes Saints RB Boston Scott will see playing time during RB Mark Ingram's 4-game suspension to open the season. Scott got the start in Thursday night's preseason finale and finished with 68 yards and a score on 12 carries. RB Jonathan Williams also played and ran it 16 times for 64 yards and a TD. "I don’t think it’s set in stone that Williams will be the clear-cut No. 2 RB behind Alvin Kamara to start the season," Triplett writes. "I think the timeshare between Williams and Scott could continue into the regular season after Scott has impressed in recent weeks and drawn praise from Sean Payton." The playing time split will be something to monitor in Week 1. We can't trust either guy in fantasy lineups to open the season.
Eagles RB Boston Scott is sidelined with a concussion. It shouldn't impact his availability for the start of the season but is worth filing away in case he suffers another head injury. Scott is expected to open the season as Philly's #3 RB behind Miles Sanders and Kenneth Gainwell.
The Eagles are re-signing RB Boston Scott to a 1-year, $1.75 million deal with $1.1 million guaranteed -- plus another $500,000 available via incentives. That kind of money doesn't guarantee anything in particular for Scott's role -- other than probably being on the team. He totaled just 87 carries and 16 targets in HC Nick Sirianni's 1st season. We'll see what the Philly backfield looks like as we move toward training camp. Scott's in the late-round RB mix in current best-ball drafting but doesn't merit special attention.
Eagles RBs Boston Scott and Jordan Howard were not activated from the COVID list and will miss Saturday night's game vs. the Cowboys. Both guys should be back for the playoffs. Philly elevated RB Jason Huntley, who will join Kenneth Gainwell in the backfield. We're expecting Gainwell to lead in touches.
Eagles RBs Boston Scott and Jordan Howard joined a slew of teammates in testing positive for COVID on Monday. There's time for each player to return to the active roster ahead of Saturday night's game against the Cowboys. We'll see how this situation develops.
Eagles RB Boston Scott (illness) is active for today’s game vs. the Jets. He was unable to practice all week, and it’s unclear if that’ll impact his role today. We’re still projecting Scott to see 10-12 carries as the #2 RB behind Miles Sanders, putting Scott in the RB3 or flex mix.
