Bucs TE O.J. Howard (knee) is listed as questionable for this weekend's game against the Falcons. He put in a full practice on Friday, suggesting he's on track to play. We'll find out for sure by noon ET on Sunday. If Howard is active, both he and Cameron Brate will be low-end-but-high-upside fantasy plays in what should be a shootout.
Bucs TE O.J. Howard (knee) is active for today’s game against the Falcons. There’s certainly a chance he’s limited after spraining an MCL 2 weeks ago. But there’s enough upside in what should be a shootout to make Howard an low-end fantasy option.
Buccaneers TE O.J. Howard is expected to play today against the Falcons, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. Howard is officially questionable with the MCL sprain that knocked him out of Week 4 early. He practiced all week, though, including a full workout Friday. He'll be a risky fantasy option on his own. Howard's return complicates the outlook, however, for Cameron Brate -- 1 of the week's most popular fantasy options at TE. There's still room or Brate to produce worthwhile fantasy numbers with Howard in the lineup, but Howard's return will likely hurt Brate's playing time. In DFS lineups, especially, you might want to pivot to someone such as Steelers TE Vance McDonald at similar prices and lower expected ownership.
Bucs TE O.J. Howard (knee) returned to a limited practice on Wednesday. He's a week-and-a-half removed from spraining his MCL, which was reportedly a 2-4 week injury. We'd still consider Howard no better than 50/50 to play against the Falcons on Sunday, but we'll get another update tomorrow.
Bucs TE O.J. Howard has been diagnosed with a sprained MCL and is expected to miss 2-4 weeks, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. It's the same injury and timetable as Giants TE Evan Engram. The good news for Howard is that Tampa has a Week 5 bye, so it's possible that he only misses 1 game. He's worth hanging on to in most leagues considering the dearth of fantasy-viable TEs. Between Howard's injury and the return of QB Jameis Winston, TE Cameron Brate's stock is trending up.
Bucs TE O.J. Howard injured his knee in Sunday's loss to the Bears, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. The team doesn't believe it's serious, but Howard will undergo an MRI on Monday. Tampa has a well-timed Week 5 bye. We'll update Howard's status when we learn more.
