Seahawks RB Rashaad Penny (ankle) is questionable for Monday night's game against the Vikings. He wasn't on the injury report on Thursday or Friday -- then he was added on Saturday but listed as a full participant in practice. We'll look for an update on the rookie's status, but he shouldn't be in your Week 14 fantasy plans.

The Seahawks placed RB Rashaad Penny (knee) on the active/PUP list. No surprise here. Penny is still rehabbing from last December's torn ACL and is a candidate for the reserve/PUP list, which would cost him the first 6 games of the season. He's only worth considering in fantasy drafts over 20 rounds. Chris Carson and Carlos Hyde figure to open the season as Seattle's top 2 RBs.

Seahawks HC Pete Carroll implied during a Thursday radio interview that RB Rashaad Penny (ACL) is likely to begin the season on the PUP list, per The Seattle Times' Bob Condotta. "He's doing great but it was a late-season injury," Carroll said. Penny tore his ACL on December 8, giving him 9 months to get ready for Week 1. Landing on PUP would cost him at least the first 6 games of the season -- and turn RB Chris Carson into a workhorse. Carson is rehabbing last December's fractured hip but "will be ready" for the start of the season, according to Carroll.

Seahawks HC Pete Carroll admitted that RB Rashaad Penny's availability for the start of the 2020 season is in question. He tore multiple ligaments, including the ACL, in his left knee on December 8. "He’s got six or seven months ahead of him that are going to be really challenging," Carroll said. "We’ll have to wait and see." Penny remains a solid dynasty hold but is just a flier in the double-digit rounds of early best-ball drafts.

The knee injury that ended Seahawks RB Rashaad Penny's season was "more than just a normal ACL" tear, HC Pete Carroll said. Penny is facing an "extensive recovery," Carroll added. A clean ACL tear would have given Penny a decent chance to be ready for the start of the 2020 campaign -- but this news makes that a lot more iffy. We'll keep a close eye on his rehab.

Seahawks RB Rashaad Penny tore his left ACL in Sunday night's loss to the Rams, HC Pete Carroll announced Monday. That obviously ends Penny's season, and the timing could challenge his readiness for the start of 2020. We'll see about his progress over the summer. The injury makes RB Chris Carson an even clearer workhorse for upside matchups with Carolina and Arizona the next 2 weeks. C.J. Prosise was the only other Seattle back to play against the Rams, and he garnered just 1 touch.
