Ryan Mink of the Ravens' website calls RB Mark Ingram the team's "clear featured back." That's been our presumption all offseason, despite the addition of rookie Justice Hill and the returns of Gus Edwards and Kenneth Dixon. Baltimore inked Ingram to a 3-year, $15 million deal this offseason after he had another strong year in New Orleans. Ingram averaged 4.7 yards per carry in 2018, his 4th straight season at 4.6 or better. He ranked 14th among 47 RBs in yards after contact per attempt and 20th in Pro Football Focus' Elusive Rating, which measures a runner's effectiveness beyond the blocking he receives. Atop the depth chart for the run-heavy Ravens, Ingram has a shot to best his current career-high of 230 carries this season. He's a fine value at his mid-4th-round ADP.

Recent Shark Bites

The Ravens have signed RB Mark Ingram to a 3-year, $15 million deal. Ingram is 29 now but has remained effective. He averaged 4.7 yards per carry last year and ranked 15th among 66 qualifying RBs in Pro Football Focus' Elusive Rating, which measures a RB's effectiveness beyond the blocking he receives. Ingram's new supporting cast obviously isn't as good as it was in New Orleans, but his fantasy stock gets a significant boost with this move. After averaging just 11.5 carries per game last year, Ingram could see 15+ per game in Baltimore's run-heavy attack. Gus Edwards averaged 16.3 over the final 8 contests last year.

Saints RB Mark Ingram has been suspended 4 games for violating the NFL’s PED policy. Entering a contract year, Ingram now won’t debut until Week 5 vs. Washington. Alvin Kamara’s clearly the winner here, but we’ll see how much more of a rushing role the Saints hand him. As a rookie, he tallied 81 catches but never topped 12 carries in a game. Either way, he’ll bring a ton of upside in all formats. Meanwhile, Jonathan Williams projects as the new #2, although he’ll surely face competition. New Orleans spent a 6th rounder on Louisiana Tech RB Boston Scott.

Saints RB Mark Ingram (toe) is active for tonight's game against the Falcons. ESPN's Dianna Russini reported earlier today that Ingram's toe is "not a big issue." He belongs locked into season-long fantasy lineups.

ESPN's Dianna Russini hears that Saints RB Mark Ingram's toe is "not a big issue." It's sounds like Ingram's missed practices on Tuesday and Wednesday were more about the short week than the toe. Keep him locked into fantasy lineups for tonight's game against the Falcons.

Saints RB Mark Ingram (toe) is expected to play against the Falcons tonight, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. We don't know much about the toe injury, but Ingram didn't practice on Tuesday or Wednesday, so it seems like a real issue. There's added risk this week, but fantasy football's #4 RB needs to be in starting lineups if active. We'll find out his official status around 7 pm ET tonight.
