Broncos WR Emmanuel Sanders (Achilles) admitted on Tuesday that he won't be at 100% for the start of training camp and said his goal is to be ready for Week 1. That shouldn't come as a surprise considering he's still only 7-and-a-half months removed from his torn Achilles, an injury that can take a year or longer to fully recover from. We consider Sanders no better than 50/50 for the season opener and would avoid him even at his current 12th-round ADP.
Saints WR Emmanuel Sanders has been placed on the COVID list. He'll miss Sunday's game against the Panthers -- and potentially more action beyond that. We'll see if WR Michael Thomas (hamstring, ankle) is able to play this weekend.
ESPN's Josina Anderson reports that the Saints have agreed to a 2-year deal with WR Emmanuel Sanders. The 33-year-old veteran enters an offense that needs options. Michael Thomas drew a dominating 31.8% of Saints targets last season, nearly doubling #2 Alvin Kamara. Jared Cook ranked 3rd, another 32 targets behind Kamara. There's room for Sanders to rank 2nd among Saints in targets in 2020 and top 100. He's a solid target for best-ball fantasy football drafts now before he climbs into the single-digit rounds.
49ers WRs Emmanuel Sanders (ribs) and Deebo Samuel (shoulder) are active for tonight's game against the Packers. Sanders is the riskier of the 2 after he was unable to make it through last week's game. WR Marquise Goodwin is a healthy scratch.
NFL Network's Ian Rapoport hears that 49ers WR Emmanuel Sanders (ribs), WR Deebo Samuel (shoulder) and TE George Kittle (knee) are expected to play against the Packers tonight. "Though the may work out pre-game" before a final decision is made, Rapoport adds. We won't get San Francisco's inactives until 7 pm ET tonight, so it'd be wise to have a backup plan in place for these guys. But all 3 can be penciled into fantasy lineups for now.
49ers WRs Emmanuel Sanders (ribs) and Deebo Samuel (shoulder) are listed as questionable for Sunday night's game against the Packers. Both guys got in limited practices on Thursday and Friday and are expected to play vs. Green Bay. Sanders comes with risk, though, after he was unable to make it through last week's game. Samuel returned from his injury and produced, so he's the safer bet.
