Former QB and current ESPN Seattle analyst Brock Huard believes Seahawks WR Tyler Lockett is in for a busy and productive season. “I’ve never seen a guy so dominant in his execution in the movement within an offense as I did with Tyler this offseason,” Huard said. “He’s in the slot, he’s at X, he’s at Z, he’s on jet sweeps, he’s everywhere. In the last about 11 years of doing this job and watching thousands of Seahawk practices, if you add them all up over all of the years, I’ve never seen the Seahawks most highlight one player the way they did Tyler Lockett this offseason.” Strong words. Lockett has been super efficient throughout his first 4 NFL seasons, posting a 70.3% catch rate and 14.3 yards per catch. While Seattle's run-focused offense caps his upside a bit, there are 73 targets up for grabs with Doug Baldwin's retirement. That's enough to make Lockett a nice WR2 target in fantasy drafts.
The Seahawks and WR Tyler Lockett agreed to a 4-year, $69.2 million extension with $37 million guaranteed, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports. He's now signed with Seattle through the 2025 season and is the league's 10th-highest-paid WR in average annual salary. Lockett has finished 16th, 13th and then 8th among WR in PPR points over the last 3 years -- although he's been maddeningly inconsistent at times. His forward-looking fantasy value hinges on just how often the Seahawks are willing to chuck it and whether QB Russell Wilson remains in town.
Seahawks WR Tyler Lockett left to get checked for a concussion in the 1st quarter of Sunday's game vs. the Giants. We'll update his status when we know more.
Update: Lockett has been cleared to return.
Seahawks WR Tyler Lockett (knee) is active for tonight's game against the Cardinals. He suffered what HC Pete Carroll called a minor knee sprain this past Sunday and only got in a limited practice on Wednesday. It adds some risk to Lockett's Week 11 outlook, but he's almost impossible to bench in season-long leagues after exploding for a 15-200-3 line in the 1st meeting with Arizona.
Seahawks WR Tyler Lockett (knee) is listed as questionable for Thursday night's game against the Cardinals after getting in a limited practice on Wednesday. HC Pete Carroll said Lockett "looked fine" and is expected to play. We'll get his official status around 7 pm ET tomorrow.
Seahawks WR Tyler Lockett is dealing with a knee sprain, HC Pete Carroll said Monday. Carroll added that it's not serious and labeled Lockett "day to day," but it's a trickier situation with Seattle playing Arizona on Thursday night. We'll monitor Lockett's status over the next few days. If he's unable to play vs. the Cardinals, WR David Moore would become a nice spot start.
