Former QB and current ESPN Seattle analyst Brock Huard believes Seahawks WR Tyler Lockett is in for a busy and productive season. “I’ve never seen a guy so dominant in his execution in the movement within an offense as I did with Tyler this offseason,” Huard said. “He’s in the slot, he’s at X, he’s at Z, he’s on jet sweeps, he’s everywhere. In the last about 11 years of doing this job and watching thousands of Seahawk practices, if you add them all up over all of the years, I’ve never seen the Seahawks most highlight one player the way they did Tyler Lockett this offseason.” Strong words. Lockett has been super efficient throughout his first 4 NFL seasons, posting a 70.3% catch rate and 14.3 yards per catch. While Seattle's run-focused offense caps his upside a bit, there are 73 targets up for grabs with Doug Baldwin's retirement. That's enough to make Lockett a nice WR2 target in fantasy drafts.
Seahawks WR Tyler Lockett (leg) was limited in practice all week but isn’t listed on the final injury report. He’ll play against the Eagles on Sunday and should be ready for his usual role.
The Seahawks ended up listing WR Tyler Lockett (shin) as a limited participant in Wednesday's practice. It's good news after an earlier report that Lockett wasn't expected to practice. He seemingly has a good shot to play against the Eagles this weekend, but we'll get another update on his status Thursday afternoon.
Seahawks WR Tyler Lockett (leg) didn't practice on Wednesday, although he did participate in the walkthrough. HC Pete Carroll said that he expects Lockett to play against the Eagles this weekend -- but we wouldn't expect any different from him. We'll get another update on Lockett tomorrow.
Seahawks WR Tyler Lockett (leg) has been released from the hospital and is flying back to Seattle on Wednesday, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports. "Expectation is, despite his leg contusion, Lockett will be ready to play vs. Philly" following the Week 11 bye, Schefter adds. We'll keep an eye on Lockett's practice participation next week, but it sounds like we'll have him for Week 12 fantasy lineups.
NFL Network's Tom Pelissero reports that Seahawks WR Tyler Lockett didn't need surgery on his badly bruised lower leg and "should be OK." He's dealing with major swelling and spent the night in a Bay Area hospital. Lockett gets a well-timed Week 11 bye, and it sounds like he has a shot to play against the Eagles in Week 12.
