Former QB and current ESPN Seattle analyst Brock Huard believes Seahawks WR Tyler Lockett is in for a busy and productive season. “I’ve never seen a guy so dominant in his execution in the movement within an offense as I did with Tyler this offseason,” Huard said. “He’s in the slot, he’s at X, he’s at Z, he’s on jet sweeps, he’s everywhere. In the last about 11 years of doing this job and watching thousands of Seahawk practices, if you add them all up over all of the years, I’ve never seen the Seahawks most highlight one player the way they did Tyler Lockett this offseason.” Strong words. Lockett has been super efficient throughout his first 4 NFL seasons, posting a 70.3% catch rate and 14.3 yards per catch. While Seattle's run-focused offense caps his upside a bit, there are 73 targets up for grabs with Doug Baldwin's retirement. That's enough to make Lockett a nice WR2 target in fantasy drafts.

Seahawks WR Tyler Lockett (back) put in a full practice on Friday and isn’t listed on the final injury report. So he should be ready for his usual role against a Steelers defense that tends to struggle against slot receivers. Lockett is a strong bounce-back candidate after a quiet opener.

Seahawks WR Tyler Lockett (back) returned to a limited practice on Thursday. That seemingly puts him on track to play against the Steelers this weekend, although it does look like he's dealing with a legitimate injury. Let's see if Lockett can put in a full workout on Friday.

Seahawks WR Tyler Lockett did not practice on Wednesday and is listed on the injury report with a back. It's the 1st we've heard of the issue. It's possible that this was more of a rest day for Lockett, but we'll need to monitor the situation. Check back tomorrow for another update.

The Seahawks and WR Tyler Lockett have agreed to a 3-year, $31.8 million extension with $20 million guaranteed, according to NFL Network's Mike Garafolo. The new deal lands Lockett inside the top 25 highest-paid WRs in the league. It's a significant investment -- and confirmation that Lockett is set to play a big role in Seattle's passing game this season and beyond. He's an excellent target at his 13th-round ADP.

Seahawks HC Pete Carroll believes WR Tyler Lockett is finally back to 100% after breaking his leg back in December of 2016. Lockett was able to get on the field for last year's opener but finished the season with a career-low 12.3 yards per catch. “Last year was a struggle for him, the offseason for certain, but throughout the season itself he was not able to do things in the same manner that he had done it in years past, and that’s really just workload," Carroll said. "He just couldn’t do as much, had to take care of his legs more. So he’s back at it, he’s really playing fast, he has no restrictions of any kind of after effects of the surgery of last year or since he’s been hurt. So that’s a real positive." Lockett's fantasy value took a hit with the addition of Brandon Marshall, but he's fully capable of beating out the 34-year-old vet Seattle's #2 WR job. It'll be a situation to monitor when training camp opens.
