Eagles TE Dallas Goedert (calf) is questionable for this weekend’s game against the Lions. He returned to a limited practice on Friday, so he seems to have a better chance to play than WR Alshon Jeffery. Still, Goedert shouldn’t be in your Week 3 fantasy plans.

Eagles TE Dallas Goedert (calf) is active for today’s game against the Lions. Multiple Eagles beat writers said that he didn’t look close to 100% in pre-game warmups. Goedert shouldn’t be in Week 3 fantasy lineups.

Eagles TE Dallas Goedert (calf) put in a full practice on Wednesday. He hurt his calf in the preseason opener and missed the final 3 exhibitions. But Goedert was always expected to be ready for Week 1 and is obviously on track to play against the Giants on Sunday. Goedert is a big-time talent, but it's tough to see him being a reliable fantasy option behind Zach Ertz.

The Eagles announced Saturday that TE Dallas Goedert will miss the rest of the preseason after he sustained a calf injury in Thursday night's preseason opener. The injury isn't considered serious, according to Jeff McLane of the Philadelphia Inquirer, and Goedert's expected to be ready for the regular season. The team has deemed him "week to week" for now. RT Lane Johnson sits in the same category with a knee issue. His status will be worth watching as well, as Week 1 draws closer.

The Eagles used the 49th overall pick of the 2018 NFL Draft on South Dakota State TE Dallas Goedert. Goedert dominated in college (which you’d expect from a 2nd-rounder coming from the Missouri Valley Conference.) He posted a 92-1,293-11 line in 2016 and a 72-1,111-7 this past year. Goedert goes 6’5, 256 pounds and showed well at his Pro Day, testing in the 72nd percentile or better in the vertical, broad, 3-cone, 20-yard shuttle and bench press. He flashes dominant ball skills and is 1 of the better blockers among this year’s rookie TE crop. This isn’t an ideal landing spot, though, behind Zach Ertz. Philly uses a lot of 2-TE sets, but Goedert will struggle for enough targets to be a fantasy factor in the near term.
