The Lions placed TE T.J. Hockenson on the COVID reserve list. He's eligible to come off it as soon as he's cleared by doctors. But any missed time is unideal for a 2nd-year player who spent the offseason rehabbing from a November ankle injury. We'll see when Hockenson is able to get on the field.

The Lions on Monday placed TE T.J. Hockenson on IR with the ankle injury he suffered on Thanksgiving. The rookie disappointed fantasy owners after a huge opener but remains a terrific long-term prospect. His departure from this season leaves Jesse James and Logan Thomas as Detroit's top 2 TEs. Thomas has topped 2 catches in a game just once this year. James -- a high-priced free agent addition before the team drafted Hockenson -- has finished just 1 game all season with more than 1 catch (back in Week 2).

Lions TE T.J. Hockenson suffered a right ankle injury late in Thursday's loss to the Bears. He was reportedly in a walking boot and getting around on a scooter afterwards. We'll update his status when we learn more, but this looks like a significant injury. Hockenson's absence would leave Detroit with TEs Jesse James and Logan Thomas. Neither is worth adding to fantasy rosters right now.

Lions TE T.J. Hockenson (shoulder) is active for today's game against the Bears. It's not a surprise after he played last week and finished the practice week with a full workout. Hockenson carries upside, as Chicago has been weak in TE coverage. But he also comes with a low target floor.

Lions TE T.J. Hockenson (shoulder) is active for today’s game against the Redskins. He was added to the injury report on Saturday, and there was a report this morning that Hockenson wasn’t doing much in warmups. He’s a risky fantasy play today.

Lions TE T.J. Hockenson was added to the injury report on Saturday as questionable with a shoulder. We'll get his official status by noon ET today, but the shoulder issue obviously adds risk to his fantasy outlook. He wasn't a great option anyways with just 4 catches for 53 scoreless yards in 2 games with Jeff Driskel at the helm.
