Saints WR Michael Thomas (ankle) returned to a limited practice on Wednesday, his first since going down back in Week 1. It gives him a shot to play against the Lions this weekend. NFL Network's Ian Rapoport said this afternoon, though, that Thomas will "have to really prove he’s not at risk of reinjury to play." We'll continue to keep a close eye on his progress.
Saints WR Michael Thomas took part in team drills Saturday for the 1st time in training camp. It’s just another step in the return of a player who has been drawing strong reviews since he got back onto the field
Saints WR Michael Thomas took part in 1-on-1 drills Friday for the 1st time in training camp and impressed. "He looks exactly like he used to look, before the ankle injury," writes Luke Johnson of NOLA.com. Multiple reports had Thomas abusing the coverage of CB Paulson Adebo, who Johnson reports "had been locking up just about every receiver he'd gone against." The flow of positive reviews on Thomas' work makes it even easier to gamble on him in best-balls drafts. His Underdog ADP remains at just WR32 as of this writing.
Saints HC Dennis Allen said Wednesday that WR Michael Thomas "looks outstanding" in camp so far. "Obviously, we're still in a progression with him," Allen added. "He got some 7-on-7 today. We plan on continuing to progress that. Hopefully soon we'll get on to some team work and keep rolling." Thomas might not be at 100% quite yet, but reports on his play in camp have been universally positive. He continues to climb our WR rankings.
Reports on Saints WR Michael Thomas' return to practice have been positive so far. "He looked fluid and had no noticeable braces or wrapping around the left ankle that was originally injured in Week 1 of the 2020 season," ESPN's Mike Triplett wrote. "He doesn’t look like he’s at all favoring his ankle ... Looked smooth," The New Orleans Advocate's Luke Johnson added. Thomas isn't participating in full team drills and admitted that he's not yet back to 100%. But he's clearly making good progress. We'll continue to keep a close eye on him and his ADP.
Saints WR Michael Thomas (ankle) was activated from the PUP list and practiced on Wednesday. Here's video proof. "Thomas moved well," insider Nick Underhill tweeted. "No limp. Participated in individual, routes on air. No full team work yet." We'll keep a close eye on Thomas over the next few weeks -- and see where his ADP goes. He's sunk all the way to WR41 in recent Underdog ADP.
