Shark Bites

The Buccaneers have agreed to a 1-year deal with WR Antonio Brown, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. "Language still has to be finalized, COVID protocols passed, but Brown is likely to make his Bucs' debut in Week 9 against the Saints," Schefter adds. Brown joins a loaded offense that figures to cap his target ceiling, but he also has at least some experience with Tom Brady. Brown played primarily on the outside with the Steelers but split between outside and the slot in his lone game with the Patriots last season. We'll see about his exact role with the Bucs and how it affects where Chris Godwin lines up. We'd bet on each of them splitting their time between outside and the slot. Brown should be picked up in just about any fantasy football league where he's still available. Brady's fantasy ceiling rises. And Mike Evans faces even more competition for targets.

Recent Shark Bites

The Bucs and WR Antonio Brown have agreed to a 1-year contract with $3.1 million guaranteed and upside to $6.25 million, according to NFL Network. This deal took a bit longer than expected to get done, but Brown was always expected back in Tampa. He posted a 45-483-4 line in 8 games with the Bucs last season, ranking 21st among WRs in PPR points over that span. Volume is still a bit of a concern here, though, with Mike Evans, Chris Godwin and Rob Gronkowski also back for 2021.

Bucs WR Antonio Brown (knee) is active for the Super Bowl. He got in full practices on Thursday and Friday, so he should be close to 100%.

Bucs WR Antonio Brown (knee) is listed as questionable for the Super Bowl. He put in full practices on Thursday and Friday, so it'd be a surprise if he doesn't play. Brown has averaged 7.2 targets, 5.2 catches and 59 yards in 9 healthy games with the Bucs. But he's played fewer than 50% of the snaps in 3 of the last 5 as Tampa has deployed more 2-TE sets. That could change on Sunday if TE Cameron Brate (back) is unable to play.

Bucs WR Antonio Brown (knee) was upgraded to a full participant in Thursday's practice. He's set to play in the Super Bowl. Brown's playing time was on the decline even before his injury as Tampa moved to more 2-TE sets. We're expecting a similar game plan on Sunday.

Bucs WR Antonio Brown (knee) returned to a limited practice on Wednesday. It's an upgrade after he sat out all week leading up to the NFC Championship. Brown is seemingly on track to return for Sunday's Super Bowl.
