Cardinals LB Karlos Dansby (hamstring) is active for today's game against the Rams. He's fine for normal use in IDP lineups.

Cardinals ILB Karlos Dansby (hamstring) is active for today's game against the Buccaneers. He entered the day questionable but is OK as a down-the-list IDP option.

Cardinals LB Karlos Dansby is questionable for Sunday's game against the Buccaneers after a hamstring injury limited his participation all week. We'd bet on Dansby playing, but we'll see about his status Sunday.

Cardinals LB Deone Bucannon returned to actual practice Tuesday for the 1st time since having ankle surgery back in May. "He's right on schedule," HC Bruce Arians said, per 98.7 FM in Arizona. "He's got to get in football shape real fast." The coach said they'll need to track Bucannon's progress, but the plan is reportedly for him to start next to Karlos Dansby in Week 1 at Detroit if the veteran proves ready. We wouldn't bet on a full load of snaps right away after such a long layoff, however. Look for rookie Haason Reddick -- who has been filling in for Bucannon -- to mix in. Dansby looks like the best IDP bet among the 3 to open the year.

ESPN's Bob Holtzman reports that the Bengals will likely hold OLB Vontaze Burfict out of Sunday's season finale against the Ravens. Burfict still had yet to clear the league concussion protocol as of Thursday and missed the 1st 2 days of practice this week. He's also listed on the injury report with a knee issue. We'll confirm Burfict's status whenever official word arrives, but expect Vincent Rey to start in his place and Karlos Dansby to lead Cincinnati 'backers in snaps again.

The Bengals are expected to make MLB Rey Maualuga inactive for Monday night's game with the Giants, according to ESPN's Adam Caplan. Maualuga missed practice Thursday and Friday with a leg injury, though his absence Monday night might ultimately be tied more to a defense in need of some changes. DC Paul Guenther reportedly indicated this week that some veterans are on notice after a 3-4-1 start. That apparently includes Maualuga. We might see some of rookie LB Nick Vigil on Monday night. Given the uncertainty, though, Vontaze Burfict's the top LB play among Bengals. Karlos Dansby's in play in deeper leagues. Beyond that, we'll see what happens.

The Browns have told LB Karlos Dansby that they will release him, according to Adam Schefter. That comes a day after the team reached a 2-year deal with former Jets LB Demario Davis. The move will save Cleveland money, but it also looks like a pretty clear downgrade from a still-solid veteran starter to another veteran who got phased out of his starting role with the Jets late last year. Dansby figures to land somewhere with an opportunity again, just as he did in Arizona and then Cleveland after the Dolphins released him following the 2012 season.

Browns ILB Karlos Dansby (toe) is active for today's finale against the Steelers. Hit toe issue kept him out of practice all week, though, and adds clear risk to his IDP prospects. Try not to use him if you have another viable option.

Browns LB Karlos Dansby (toe) is questionable for Sunday's game against the Steelers after missing practice all week. Try not to use him in your IDP league if you can help it.

Browns LB Karlos Dansby (ankle) is active today against the Broncos, despite a questionable tag heading into the weekend. He carried the same designation last week and still played full time in the win over Baltimore. Go ahead and use Dansby as you normally would in your IDP lineup.

Browns ILB Karlos Dansby is officially questionable for Sunday against the Broncos with the same ankle injury that rendered him questionable a week ago. Dansby played every snap in that game, and we've seen no reason to expect any different this week.

The Browns will have LB Karlos Dansby (ankle) and CB Joe Haden (finger/ribs) in the lineup today against the Ravens. Both entered Sunday questionable but should be fine to use as you normally would in your IDP lineup.

Browns ILB Karlos Dansby (ankle) is questionable for Sunday's game against the Ravens. The same issue left him probable for Week 4, but we haven't seen any indication that the injury has gotten worse -- beyond the game status. We'll certainly update that status on Sunday, but expect to have Dansby in your IDP lineup.

Browns ILB Karlos Dansby is active for today's game against the Titans after missing most of the practice week with a foot issue. There might be some risk of aggravation for Dansby, but we'd go ahead and chance him as Cleveland's only full-time ILB.

Browns LB Karlos Dansby missed practice again Friday with his foot problem and is questionable for Sunday's game against the Titans. If Dansby's ready to go, we're OK with starting him on no practice. But we'll obviously need to watch his status Sunday morning. If Dansby sits, Craig Robertson and Christian Kirksey figure to start at the 2 ILB spots.

Browns LB Karlos Dansby missed the 1st 2 days of practice this week with a foot injury he suffered in the Week 1 loss to the Jets. HC Mike Pettine has called him "day to day," according to Pro Football Talk, and Dansby played through the issue last week. The veteran certainly doesn't need to practice to be ready to play, but we'll have to keep an eye on his status for IDP leagues into the weekend.

The Browns will get LB Karlos Dansby back today against the Panthers after he missed the past 4 games with a knee sprain. It 's tough to know whether the Browns will return him to his full role, though, or whether Dansby's knee will hold up. That makes him a risky IDP play, albeit one with upside. His return also makes it tough to use replacement Craig Robertson, who has delivered strong fantasy numbers in Dansby's absence. Cleveland will be without CB Joe Haden, who's inactive with a shoulder injury.

UPDATE: Dansby will reportedly start in his usual MLB spot, with Robertson starting at weak ILB over Chris Kirksey. We'd lean Robertson as the safest IDP option, with Dansby bringing the highest ceiling.

Browns LB Karlos Dansby has seemed to be near a return from his sprained knee for 2 weeks now, but he admitted to ESPN Cleveland on Thursday that he might not play again this season. The veteran said "it's all up in the air" as to whether the team will shut him down for the year. "It's a tough injury, especially at my position, all the lateral movements and that kind of stuff," Dansby said. "It's detrimental. I can't go out there and put some bad film out there and let the guys down in this room." Barring some huge turn in his recovery by Sunday, it looks like you can plan to use Craig Robertson in your IDP lineup once again. Dansby's fill-in has delivered top-10 production among LBs since the starter went down.
