Shark Bites are the latest fantasy football news & NFL updates. Draft Sharks has been in business since 1999. And when we started, redraft was the dominant form of fantasy football. Check out what we've learned about this most basic form of fantasy football along the way.
Bears RB D’Andre Swift broke a 56-yard TD run in the third quarter bringing his total in the game to 129 yards on 18 rushes. Swift has now scored a rushing TD in four straight games.
Bears QB Caleb Williams completed only 10 passes for 131 yards and ran 10 times for 41 yards. He struggled for most of the game only getting over 100 passing yards in the fourth quarter. He had combined for nine passing TDs over the last four games but was held to no TDs in the game.
Bears CB Kyler Gordon left Sunday's win over the Jaguars early with a hamstring injury and was ruled out before the end. He gets a Week 7 bye to heal up. We'll watch for details on his expected return timeline.
Bears WR Keenan Allen scored a pair of TDs in Sunday’s win over Jacksonville. The scores marked his first as a Bear.
Bears RB D’Andre Swift rushed 17 times for 91 yards and 1 score in Sunday's blowout win over the Jags. He's now hit 100 total yards in three straight games.
The Bears have already ruled S Jaquan Brisker out for Sunday's game against the Jaguars in London. He didn't travel with the team after suffering a concussion in the Week 5 win over Carolina. Brisker passed a concussion check during that game and returned but then reported symptoms Monday.
Bears WR DJ Moore finally had a breakout performance catching five of eight targets for 105 yards and two TDs. He and Williams seemed to finally connect.
Bears RB Roschon Johnson ran 10 times for 25 yards and two TDs in a solid performance. He is clearly back behind RB D’Andre Swift who ran 21 times for 73 yards and a TD along with two catches for 47 yards.
Bears QB Caleb Williams had his second career 300-yard passing performance completing 20 of 29 for 304 yards and two TDs. He also ran five times for 34 yards. Williams shows he has solid fantasy potential moving forward against good match-ups.
Bears WR Keenan Allen tied rookie WR Rome Odunze with six targets, but Allen only caught three passes for 33 yards while Odunze caught five for 40 yards. Allen may still be ramping up moving forward, but it is clear he will split fairly evenly with the rookie.
Bears WR D.J. Moore recorded 3 catches, 22 yards, and 1 score in Sunday's win over the Rams. His 6 targets ranked second on the team (26%).
Bears RB D'Andre Swift rushed 16 times for 93 yards and 1 score in Sunday's win over the Rams. The breakout game included team-highs in targets (7), catches (7) and receiving yards (72).
Bears WR Keenan Allen (heel) is active for today’s game vs. the Rams. He practiced all week, including a full workout on Friday, so Allen should be ready for a full slate of snaps. He led Chicago with 11 targets in the opener (although he caught just four for 29 yards).
Bears WR Keenan Allen (heel) is expected to play vs. the Rams today, HC Matt Eberflus said. That's seemed likely since Allen put in a full workout on Friday. There's some added risk here with Allen coming off a two-game absence. But he drew 11 targets in the opener and gets a leaky Rams secondary today. See where Allen lands in the Week 4 WR Rankings.
Bears WR Rome Odunze (hip) is not listed on the final Week 4 injury report. He was limited in Thursday’s practice but a full-go on Friday. The rookie should be ready for his usual role vs. the Rams this weekend, although WR Keenan Allen’s likely return adds target competition.
Bears WR Keenan Allen (heel) is listed as questionable for this weekend’s game vs. the Rams. He practiced all week, including a full workout on Friday, so Allen seems likely to return for this one. He led Chicago with 11 targets in the opener (although he caught just four for 29 yards).
Bears WR Rome Odunze was added to Thursday's injury report with a hip. He was limited in practice. We don't have any other details on the rookie's injury right now. We'll see if Odunze practices on Friday and how he's listed on the final injury report for this weekend's game vs. the Rams.
"Watch for Bears running back Roschon Johnson to possibly get an extended look this week," ESPN's Jeremy Fowler wrote on Wednesday. It doesn't exactly read like a set-in-stone report, but Fowler wouldn't write it without having some sort of intel from the Bears. And it certainly makes sense considering RB D'Andre Swift has been the least effective runner in the NFL through three weeks. He's averaging 1.8 yards per carry and ranks dead last among 50 qualifying RBs in NFL Next Gen Stats' rush yards over expected per attempt. Swift posted season lows last week in snap rate (53%), carry share (46%), and route rate (50%) -- and it sounds like he's set to lose more work. Swift should be on fantasy benches for Week 4. You'd ideally wait to see Johnson's role expand before starting him, but he should be rostered in all fantasy leagues of 12+ teams and even most 10-teamers.
Bears WR Keenan Allen (heel) put in a limited practice on Wednesday. "He's tracking to return this week if all goes well," NFL Network's Ian Rapoport tweeted.
Bears QB Caleb Williams posted a fantasy breakout in Week 3, notching 363 yards, 2 TDs, and 2 INTs. Williams was boosted by a massive 52 pass attempts.
