Week 17 DFS is as much about figuring out who will play as how well they’ll play.
The Cowboys, Giants, Steelers and Texans are all playoff-bound with nothing to gain in Week 17. I’m not touching guys from any of these teams in cash games — and won’t be playing any of the usual suspects (Zeke Elliott, Odell Beckham, Le’Veon Bell, etc.) even in tournaments. Some of the backups are intriguing, though. More on that below.
Other teams’ seasons are on the line. It’s win-and-you’re-in for the Redskins (against that Giants team with nothing to play for). The NFC North is on the line in Sunday night’s Packers-Lions clash. Atlanta needs to knock off the Saints to clinch the NFC’s #2 seed. The Patriots wrap up the top seed in the AFC with a victory in Miami. And the Bucs need to beat the Panthers to keep their slim playoff hopes alive.
These teams with extra Week 17 motivation might be worth targeting in your DraftKings lineups.
