Aaron Jones Fantasy Football News | Shark Bites

Shark Bites are the latest fantasy football news & NFL updates. Draft Sharks has been in business since 1999. And when we started, redraft was the dominant form of fantasy football. Check out what we've learned about this most basic form of fantasy football along the way.

Packers RB Aaron Jones (hamstring) entered Sunday with questions about his workload. He remained limited in practice this week, so seeing him eased into action against Denver wasn't a surprise. The veteran back saw 8 of 25 team RB carries; 5 of 9 RB targets. AJ Dillon led the way with 15 carries and 2 catches for a season-high 95 total yards. On the bright side: Jones avoided a hamstring setback. He should see his workload rise next week vs. the Vikings, but we'll look for clues ahead of that matchup.

Packers RB Aaron Jones (hamstring) is active for today's game vs. the Broncos. He was limited in practice all week and listed as questionable, so the hammy is still a concern. Remember that Jones tallied just five carries and two targets when he first tried to return from this injury back in Week 4. The good news is the matchup is excellent against Denver’s 32nd-ranked RB defense. Consider Jones a risk/reward RB2 today.

NFL Network's Mike Garafolo reports that Packers RB Aaron Jones (hamstring) will play vs. the Broncos later today but that the team will monitor his workload. That's not a surprise considering Jones was limited in practice all week and is listed as questionable. Don't expect a huge workload for Jones today, but the matchup vs. Denver's 32nd-ranked RB defense keeps him in the RB2 mix.

Packers RB Aaron Jones (hamstring) is expected to play vs. the Broncos today, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports. Jones was limited in practice all week and listed as questionable, despite coming off the bye week. That adds risk to his Week 7 fantasy profile. But the matchup is awesome against Denver's league-worst RB defense. See where Jones sits in the Week 7 RB Rankings.

Packers RB Aaron Jones (hamstring) was limited in practice all week and is listed as questionable for Sunday's game vs. the Broncos. “He looked pretty good (but) he was limited, so we’ll see how he’s feeling," HC Matt LaFleur said after Friday's practice. It's concerning that Jones is still dealing with hamstring trouble coming off the bye. We'll look for further updates on his status. We won't get Green Bay's inactives until a little before 3 pm ET on Sunday.

Packers RB Aaron Jones (hamstring) was limited in Wednesday's practice. He should be back for this weekend's game vs. the Broncos, but Jones would be much easier to trust in fantasy lineups if he gets in at least one full practice this week.

Packers RB A.J. Dillon managed to barrel his way to 76 rushing yards with a TD in Week 5’s loss vs. the Raiders. It wasn’t a particularly efficient performance, as it took 20 carries for Dillon to reach these totals, but fantasy managers can’t be too upset with him. We’re still talking double-digit fantasy points here. Still, this Packers’ rushing attack hasn’t been particularly good since RB Aaron Jones went down with a hamstring injury in Week 2. Hopefully, Jones will make it back in time for a primo matchup against the lowly Broncos defense in Week 6.

Packers RB Aaron Jones (hamstring) is officially inactive for tonight's game against the Raiders. He'll get a Week 6 bye to rest up that hamstring. RBs A.J. Dillon, Patrick Taylor, and Emanuel Wilson are active for Green Bay tonight. See our projections for the Packers backfield.

NFL Network's Tom Pelissero now reports that Packers RB Aaron Jones (hamstring) will be inactive for tonight's game vs. the Raiders. Green Bay has a Week 6 bye, so Jones will get two full weeks to get that hamstring right. RB A.J. Dillon becomes a slightly better fantasy option tonight with Jones out, but he totaled just 96 scoreless yards in two games without Jones earlier this season. We just updated the Week 5 projections for the Packers backfield.

NFL Network's Tom Pelissero tweets that Packers RB Aaron Jones' status for tonight's game vs. the Raiders "remains up in the air" but adds that, "it sounds unlikely he’ll go." Jones returned from his hamstring injury last week but played just 20 snaps. He was limited in practice all this week and is listed as questionable. We'll get Green Bay's inactives around 7 pm ET. Jones' absence would leave the backfield to A.J. Dillon and Patrick Taylor. Dillon bombed in Jones' absence earlier this season and played only 10 more snaps than Taylor in Week 3.

Packers RB Aaron Jones (hamstring) was limited in practice all week and is listed as questionable for Monday night's game vs. the Raiders. Jones returned from this hamstring injury last week but wound up totaling just six touches on a 35% snap rate. We are expecting him to play on Monday, but it's tough to count on Jones getting his usual workload.

Packers HC Matt LaFleur confirmed that RB Aaron Jones and WR Christian Watson were on snap counts in Thursday night's loss to the Lions. Jones played 35% of the snaps and Watson 46% in their first games back from hamstring injuries. LaFleur added that he's "hopeful" that both guys can have full workloads vs. the Raiders in Week 5. We'll track their participation levels in practice next week.

RB Aaron Jones, like the entire Packers offense, struggled to get going in Thursday night's loss to the Lions. Green Bay finished with only 53 plays and 10 RB carries, as they played from multiple scores behind for the final three quarters. Jones garnered five of those carries but could only grind out 18 yards. He was crunched for a four-yard loss on his only reception of the night. Jones wound up getting out-snapped 38 to 20 by backfield mate A.J. Dillon, but that was very likely due to Jones coming back from that hamstring injury and the scoreboard. The good news is that Jones seemingly avoided a setback. Expect him to be back in the lead role in a plus Week 5 matchup vs. the Raiders. It's a good bounce-back opportunity for Jones and the Packers.

Packers RB Aaron Jones (hamstring) is active for tonight’s game vs. the Lions. NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero reported this morning that Green Bay will be cautious with Jones’ workload in his first game back. But we’re projecting him to lead the backfield in touches tonight. See where Jones sits in the Week 4 RB Rankings.

The Packers expect RB Aaron Jones to play tonight against the Lions, according to NFL Network's Tom Pelissero. He adds that the team will "be careful" with Jones' workload. That adds some risk to putting Jones in your fantasy lineup. But we're not likely to know exactly what that means for his touch count. Check the Week 4 RB rankings and/or your Team Intel page for updates before setting your lineup. Ultimately, though, there will be some gut calls on how you want to weight Jones' risk-reward vs. your other option(s).
