Baltimore Ravens Fantasy Football News | Shark Bites

Shark Bites are the latest fantasy football news & NFL updates. Draft Sharks has been in business since 1999. And when we started, redraft was the dominant form of fantasy football. Check out what we've learned about this most basic form of fantasy football along the way.

Ravens CB Anthony Averett (shoulder, ankle), LB Patrick Queen (ribs), CB Marlon Humphrey (illness) and EDGE Odafe Oweh (shoulder) are questionable for Sunday's game against the Steelers. Humphrey missed the past 2 days of practice with his illness. Oweh popped up on the injury report with a missed Thursday but returned to limited action Friday. Queen finished the week with 2 full practices and appears on track to play. Averett was limited Thursday and Friday after missing Wednesday's practice. We'll update the status for all when inactives come out Sunday.

Ravens CB Anthony Averett (thigh) and DL Calais Campbell (concussion) are questionable for Sunday night''s game against the Browns. Averett sustained the injury during the practice week last week, missing Friday's workout and then the game. He sat out Wednesday's practice this week before limited participation Thursday and Friday.

Ravens HC John Harbaugh said after Sunday's win over the Vikings that S DeShon Elliott suffered a torn pectoral muscle and a torn biceps, according to Jonas Shaffer of The Baltimore Sun. That will end Elliott's season. Brandon Stephens figures to step into Elliott's role.

Ravens LB Patrick Queen (thigh) is active for today's game against the Bengals. He spent the week limited in practice after seeing limited playing time last week, a game he left but returned to after suffering the thigh injury. Queen makes for a risky IDP play this week.

Ravens LB Patrick Queen is questionable for Sunday's game against the Bengals. He's dealing with a thigh injury that knocked him out early in last week's game, but he returned after some time on the sideline. Queen also put in limited practices all week. We'll see about his status Sunday morning.

Ravens S DeShon Elliott (quad) is active for today's game against the Chargers.

Ravens CB Marlon Humphrey (knee), S Chuck Clark (hip) and CB Anthony Averett (ankle) are all active for today's game against the Broncos.

Ravens CB Marlon Humphrey (knee), S Chuck Clark (hip) and CB Anthony Averett (ankle) are questionable for Sunday's game against the Broncos. Averett's injury popped up Thursday and kept him out of Friday's practice. Clark didn't appear on the injury report until a limited Friday practice. Humphrey also showed up only on Friday, and even then as a full participant. The team website reports that he's expected to play.

Baltimore on Friday placed 4 front-7 players on the COVID list, meaning they'll all miss at least Sunday's game in Detroit. The players are DTs Brandon Williams and Justin Madubuike, and EDGE defenders Justin Houston and Jaylon Ferguson. None makes a huge fantasy difference for either IDP usage or the Baltimore team defense's upside, but their absences certainly soften the matchup for Detroit's offense. Losing Brandon Williams, in particular, weakens the Ravens' run D -- a help for Lions RBs D'Andre Swift and Jamaal Williams.

Ravens CB Marlon Humphrey (back) is active for tonight's game against the Chiefs. Use him if you planned to in your IDP lineup.

Ravens CB Marlon Humphrey (back) is questionable for Sunday night's game against the Chiefs with a back issue. Humphrey was limited all 3 days this week. The late kickoff makes him tough to wait for in IDP leagues, and it's a low-floor matchup for his fantasy scoring. We'd try to lean toward another option.

Tests confirmed that Ravens CB Marcus Peters suffered an ACL tear in Thursday's practice, according to multiple reports. He was only the 2nd most fantasy-relevant Baltimore player to do so on the day. Losing Peters, though, takes a starting outside corner and coverage playmaker out of the lineup. It at least lowers the ceiling a bit for the Ravens' team defense.

The Ravens have reached a 1-year deal with EDGE Justin Houston. The veteran spent the past 2 years with the Colts, tallying 19 sacks. He should be in for a starting role on a Baltimore defense that let Matt Judon walk in free agency. The move to Baltimore will likely change his position designation from DE to LB on many fantasy-league hosting sites.
