Shark Bites are the latest fantasy football news & NFL updates. Draft Sharks has been in business since 1999. And when we started, redraft was the dominant form of fantasy football. Check out what we've learned about this most basic form of fantasy football along the way.
Packers QB Jordan Love (groin) returned to a limited practice on Thursday. The session took place in the rain, so there evidently wasn't much concern about Love aggravating his injury in the conditions. He seemingly has a legitimate chance to play vs. the Lions on Sunday, but we'll continue to keep a close eye on his status.
Packers QB Jordan Love (groin) did not practice on Wednesday. He said, though, that he still thinks "it's realistic" that he'll be able to play vs. the Lions this weekend. "I’ve made progress," Love said. “It’s definitely feeling better. I think every day there will be some improvements to it but definitely feels better than it did on Sunday." We'll keep you updated on Love's status over the next few days. For now, we're projecting QB Malik Willis to start vs. Detroit.
Packers QB Jordan Love's MRI revealed a strained groin, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. Colleague Tom Pelissero adds that Love is considered "day to day" and "has a chance" to play vs. the Lions this weekend. Love will certainly push to play in that big game, although it's worth noting that the Packers have a Week 10 bye. We'll track his status throughout the week. If Love is unable to go, Green Bay will turn back to QB Malik Willis. He's played surprisingly well this season, helping the Packers to three wins. But Willis would be a significant downgrade for the team's pass catchers.
There’s "optimism" that Packers QB Jordan Love avoided a long-term groin injury, according to NFL Network's Tom Pelissero. Love is set for additional testing on Monday to get a better look at the damage. We should get a timeline for his return then. It's worth noting that the Packers have a Week 10 bye, although Love will surely play in next Sunday's big game against the Lions if he's able.
Packers HC Matt LaFleur admitted after Sunday's game vs. the Jaguars that there's a "high level of concern" about QB Jordan Love's groin injury. "I think everybody could see him struggling to move around," LaFleur added. "It got to a point where we didn't feel like, and he didn't feel like, he could protect himself." QB Malik Willis played well in relief of Love to get Green Bay the win today, completing 4 of 5 passes for 56 yards and a score and running 4 times for 23 yards. Willis went 2-0 as the Packers' starter earlier this season, totaling 324 yards and two TDs passing and 114 yards and a score rushing. Willis finished QB22 and QB6 in fantasy points those weeks. He'll at least be an option in 2-QB leagues vs. the Lions next week if Love misses. We should get an update on Love within the next 24 hours.
Packers QB Jordan Love left Sunday’s game against Jacksonville with a lower leg injury. Malik Willis is now in the game for Green Bay. We'll let you know if Love is able to return.
UPDATE: The Packers are saying Love suffered a groin injury. He's officially questionable to return.
Packers QB Jordan Love ended the game completing 22 of 32 passes for 258 yards. Love was on fire in the first half throwing 4 TDs and only 1 INT.
Packers WRs Christian Watson (ankle) and Romeo Doubs (personal) are listed as doubtful for Sunday’s game vs. the Rams. So Green Bay is suddenly down two of its top three WRs in terms of playing time so far this season. It’s a huge opportunity for WR Dontayvion Wicks, while WR Jayden Reed and TE Tucker Kraft should also pick up extra volume. We’re expecting WRs Bo Melton and Malik Heath to split Doubs’ snaps.
Packers QB Jordan Love went off for 389 yards, 4 TDs, and 3 INTs in Sunday's loss to the Vikings. His yardage, TDs, and attempts (54) all set career highs.
Packers QB Jordan Love (knee) is active for today’s game vs. the Vikings. He’s a little over three weeks removed from spraining his MCL and likely won’t have his usual mobility today. That could be an issue against a blitz-heavy Minnesota defense. Love sits well into QB2 territory in the Week 4 Rankings. But his return is excellent news for Green Bay's WRs and TEs.
