Jordan Whittington Fantasy Football News | Shark Bites

Shark Bites are the latest fantasy football news & NFL updates. Draft Sharks has been in business since 1999. And when we started, redraft was the dominant form of fantasy football. Check out what we've learned about this most basic form of fantasy football along the way.

Rams WR Jordan Whittington (shoulder) is out for Thursday night's game vs. the Vikings. It sure would have been nice of the Rams to have ruled him out last week. Instead, Whittington was active but ran 0 pass routes. His absence leaves Tutu Atwell, Demarcus Robinson, and Tyler Johnson behind Cooper Kupp against Minnesota.

Rams WR Cooper Kupp (ankle) is inactive for today’s game vs. the Raiders. He got in three limited practices this week, but the team is wisely being cautious with his return from this significant ankle injury. We’re expecting Kupp to play next week. His absence again leaves Jordan Whittington, Tutu Atwell, and Demarcus Robinson as the Rams’ top three WRs. See where they land in the Week 7 WR Rankings.

ESPN's Adam Schefter calls Rams WR Cooper Kupp (hamstring) "unlikely" to play vs. the Raiders today. "Rams still want to work out Kupp pre-game before making any decision about him," Schefter adds. We'll look for additional updates on Kupp, but he should be on fantasy benches for now. We won't get the Rams' inactives until a little before 3 pm ET. Schefter also confirms that WR Jordan Whittington (shoulder) is expected to play. He'll join Tutu Atwell and Demarcus Robinson as the Rams' top three WRs if Kupp is out.

Rams WR Cooper Kupp (ankle) is listed as questionable for Sunday’s game vs. the Raiders. He was limited in practice all week. HC Sean McVay sounded optimistic about Kupp’s progress throughout the week, so we’re tentatively projecting him to play. The Rams won’t release their inactives until a little after 2:30 pm ET on Sunday, but we should get at least one more update on Kupp before then. He’ll be worth starting for the vast majority of fantasy teams if he ends up playing. WR Jordan Whittington (shoulder) is also listed as questionable but is fully expected to play.

Rams HC Sean McVay confirmed on Monday that WR Cooper Kupp (ankle) will not play vs. the Bears this weekend. Kupp has not been placed on IR, but we're unlikely to see him before the Rams return from their Week 6 bye.

Rams WR Cooper Kupp (ankle) is out for Sunday’s game vs. the 49ers. He avoided IR but is still looking at a multi-game absence. The Rams are down to Demarcus Robinson, Tyler Johnson, Jordan Whittington, and Tutu Atwell as their top four WRs. See where those guys land in our Week 3 Rankings.

Rams HC Sean McVay says WR Cooper Kupp is expected to miss “an extended period of time” and might hit IR, according to ESPN’s Sarah Barshop. If IR is just a maybe, that indicates the timeline sits around four games. With Puka Nacua already out, there’s clear opportunity the next few weeks for other Rams WRs and TE Colby Parkinson. You can also expect to not see QB Matthew Stafford high in our weekly rankings. Check your Free Agent Finder to see who might make sense for your situation

Rams WR Cooper Kupp injured his left ankle near the end of the first half of Sunday's game vs. the Cardinals. He's been deemed doubtful to return. We'll look for further updates on the injury, but this could be disastrous for a Rams team already without WR Puka Nacua for at least three more games -- and likely more. L.A. is now down to WRs Demarcus Robinson, Tyler Johnson, Tutu Atwell, and Jordan Whittington.

Rams HC Sean McVay said Monday that the team is placing WR Puka Nacua on IR after he aggravated his right knee injury in Sunday night's loss to the Lions, Jourdan Rodrigue of The Athletic reports. Nacua is dealing with a PCL sprain that he reportedly hurt in a "more significant" way against Detroit.

Rams WR Puka Nacua injured a knee in the first half of Sunday night's game vs. the Lions and was ruled out at halftime. This appeared to be the same right knee that Nacua hurt on August 4, sidelining him for about three weeks. We'll look for further updates on his status going forward.

Rams HC Sean McVay loved what he saw from rookie WR Jordan Whittington in Sunday's preseason opener vs. the Cowboys. Whittington caught six of nine targets for 74 yards. “He’s gonna be a factor for us," McVay said after the game.
