McFadden and Murray to share Week 2 carries?

With Raiders RB Maurice Jones-Drew (hand) looking unlikely to play against the Texans this weekend, HC Dennis Allen suggested that RBs Darren McFadden and Latavius Murray could share backfield duties.  "We'll start with Darren, and it probably will be more series-wise with Latavius and Darren," Allen said.  McFadden remains the superior fantasy play, but he's a shaky RB3 or flex.  Murray shouldn't be in Week 2 fantasy lineups but is an intriguing stash.

The Cowboys are reportedly looking to trade RB Alfred Morris. While McFadden is no threat to Ezekiel Elliott's workhorse role and won't be a standalone fantasy option, he'll be 1 of the highest-upside handcuffs in 2017 fantasy drafts.

Cowboys RB Darren McFadden is "on schedule" to be ready for Week 1, according to Bleacher Report's Jason Cole. A scan of the elbow he broke in June came back "good." The missed training camp and preseason time still gives Alfred Morris a shot to win the #2 RB job behind Ezekiel Elliott, though. Both Morris and McFadden are only worth considering in deep fantasy leagues.
