Cardinals DE Zach Allen revealed recently that he needed post-season ankle surgery after shredding the ligaments in a December game. "I literally had no ligaments in my ankle," he said last week, according to the Arizona Republic. "My tibia was basically floating. So, the tape was the only thing kind of holding it together." Allen said doctors put "some hardware" into the ankle, which has kept him from participating in spring practices. The 4th-year lineman says he expects to be 100% for the start of training camp and that he feels better than he did entering last year's camp. Allen doesn't appear to have high-end sack potential but can be a quality contributor for us on the tackle and pressure fronts -- especially at low draft cost.

NFL Network's Tom Pelissero reports that EDGE Chandler Jones is finalizing a deal with the Raiders that's expected to average $17 million a year. Jones has delivered 10+ sacks in every season since 2013 that has seen him play at least 10 games. His 10.5 sacks last year marked his low for that span, though, and Jones' 47 total pressures tied for just 44th in the league, according to Pro Football Focus. He'll start opposite Maxx Crosby for a Vegas team that is reportedly trading Yannick Ngakoue. Jones turned 32 in February, so we wouldn't be surprised if his production declines further. On the positive side, moving to the Raiders defense should mean DE eligibility rather than LB in fantasy football leagues that rely on those designations. We'll see about Jones' draft price in IDP leagues this summer.

Cardinals DE Zach Allen (ankle) is active for today's game against the Seahawks. He arrived questionable after putting in just a single limited practice Friday.

Cardinals S Budda Baker (ribs) and DE Zach Allen (ankle) are active for today's game against the Cowboys.

Cardinals S Budda Baker (ribs) and DE Zach Allen (ankle) are questionable for Sunday's game against the Cowboys. Allen managed only 1 limited practice, Friday. Baker put in limited workouts Thursday and Friday after sitting out Wednesday.

The Cardinals have placed EDGE Markus Golden on the COVID list. That should knock him out of contention for Week 17 IDP lineups.

Cardinals CB Byron Murphy (foot) is active for today's game against the Bears.

Cardinals S Budda Baker (heel) is active for today's game against the Seahawks. He entered the day questionable, but HC Kliff Kingsbury said he expected the safety to play.

Cardinals S Budda Baker (heel) is questionable for Sunday's game against the Seahawks. HC Kliff Kingsbury said Friday, though, that Baker will play, according to the team website. We'll confirm his status Sunday afternoon.

Cardinals S Budda Baker (knee) is active for today's game against Panthers. DL Jordan Phillips (groin) is also active but a low-level IDP option.

Cardinals S Budda Baker (concussion, knee) is questionable for Sunday's game against the Panthers. Baker returned to practice Friday after missing the previous 2 days. HC Kliff Kingsbury said the team expects Baker to play. We'll confirm his status Sunday afternoon.

Cardinals S Budda Baker missed Wednesday practice with a concussion and a knee injury. We'll see how he does this week, leading up to Sunday's meeting with the Panthers.

Cardinals DE J.J. Watt will have surgery on the shoulder injury that had already ruled him out for Thursday night's game against the Packers. According to multiple reports, this is likely to end Watt's season. NFL Netwrok's Ian Rapoport reports that Watt will likely need "at least" 3 months to recover. Watt reportedly hurt the shoulder in the 2nd quarter of the Week 7 win over Houston but played through it for the 2nd half. Watt's contract looks locked in with Arizona through next year.

The Cardinals have ruled DE J.J. Watt out for Thursday night's game against the Packers because of a shoulder injury. We had Watt low in the Week 8 DL rankings anyway, so this shouldn't be a huge loss for IDP lineups.

The Cardinals on Monday activated EDGE Chandler Jones from the COVID list. Their lead pass rusher missed the past 2 games but should be available for Thursday night's clash with the Packers. Arizona also activated DE Zach Allen from the COVID list.

Cardinals LB Jordan Hicks (toe) is active for today's game against the Texans. He played through a questionable tag last week as well and didn't miss a snap, despite the lopsided win at Cleveland.

Cardinals EDGE Chandler Jones will not come off the COVID list in time for Sunday’s game against the Texans, according to Darren Urban of the team website.

Cardinals LB Jordan Hicks is questionable for Sunday's game against the Texans with toe and ankle issues. The toe carried over from last week, when Hicks played through a questionable tag and didn't miss a snap against Cleveland. He similarly sat out practice Wednesday and Thursday before putting in a limited Friday workout.

Cardinals LB Jordan Hicks (toe) is active for today's game against the Browns. He missed practice Wednesday and Thursday before returning for a limited Friday workout and appeared truly questionable. Don't be surprised if we see fewer snaps than usual, but Hicks is available if you got here planning to use him in IDP lineups. CBs Byron Murphy (ribs) and Marco Wilson (ribs) are also active after arriving questionable. The defense will be without EDGE Chandler Jones, who is on the COVID list.

Cardinals LB Jordan Hicks (toe) is questionable for Sunday's game against the Browns. He managed just a limited Friday practice after missing Wednesday and Thursday. We'll see about his status Sunday, but the 4:05 p.m. ET kickoff might mean you can't wait for him. If Hicks sits, then rookie Zaven Collins would likely get his 1st starting turn. Arizona CBs Byron Murphy (ribs) and Marco Wilson (ribs) are also questionable.
