Washington WR Curtis Samuel (groin) is out for Sunday's game vs. the Chiefs. He appears to be looking at another multi-week absence. WR Cam Sims (hamstring) has also been ruled out. WR Dyami Brown (knee) is listed as questionable after a limited week of practice. With WR Terry McLaurin (hamstring) also questionable, Adam Humphries, Deandre Carter and Dax Milne are Washington's only healthy WRs. It's obviously a concern for QB Taylor Heinicke.

Washington WR Curtis Samuel (groin) missed his 2nd straight practice on Thursday. It's unclear if he suffered a setback last week or is simply getting some time off. Either way, Samuel shouldn't be in your Week 5 fantasy plans after playing limited snaps in his 2021 debut last week.

Washington WR Curtis Samuel (groin) did not practice on Wednesday. "We have to be cautious with it," HC Ron Rivera said, referring to Samuel's groin injury. Samuel played just 37% of the offensive snaps in his Washington debut last week and can't be trusted in fantasy lineups until we see him in something close to a full-time role.

Washington WR Curtis Samuel (groin) will make his 2021 debut against the Falcons on Sunday, HC Ron Rivera said. Samuel made it through all 3 practices this week without issue with that groin. It's unclear how big a role he'll play after missing much of the offseason, so Samuel shouldn't be in Week 4 fantasy lineups. But he's worth stashing in fantasy leagues of 12+ teams.

Washington WR Curtis Samuel (groin) has been placed on IR. So he'll miss at least the first 3 games of the season with this groin injury that's lingered since spring OTAs. Adam Humphries will be the slot receiver.

Here's video of him clearly still struggling with the groin issue that's plagued him since OTAs. HC Ron Rivera told reporters afterward that Samuel admitted "something just didn't feel right." On Samuel's status for Sunday's opener vs. the Chargers, Rivera said, "If Curtis plays, great, and if he doesn't, great, because we have a lot of confidence in the other guys." Samuel shouldn't be in your Week 1 fantasy plans. His absence on Sunday would likely move rookie Dyami Brown into the starting lineup opposite Terry McLaurin, with Adam Humphries in the slot.

Washington WR Curtis Samuel remained limited in Monday's practice, according to insider Ben Standig. HC Ron Rivera said it's Samuel's conditioning -- not his previously injured groin -- that's the issue at this point. "Maybe, who knows. We'll see," Samuel said when asked if he'll play against the Chargers this weekend. We'll track his status this week, but Samuel shouldn't be in your Week 1 fantasy plans.
