The Colts on Sunday added LB Zaire Franklin to the injury report as questionable for Monday night's game against the Steelers because of illness. We'll check his status when the inactives come out. If Franklin sits, E.J. Speed should be the next LB up to join Bobby Okereke. Indianapolis also downgraded EDGE Kwity Paye (ankle) to out for the game. The team is reportedly optimistic about having DT DeForest Buckner (ribs, illness) and EDGE Yannick Ngakoue (back) available. Both are officially questionable.

Colts DT DeForest Buckner is questionable for Monday night's game against the Steelers. He finished the practice week with a full Saturday workout, though, after sitting out the previous 2 days. Buckner is listed with a rib issue and illness. We'll confirm his status ahead of Monday's game but would bet on him playing. Colts DT Grover Stewart and Steelers DL Larry Ogunjobi can be fallback options for IDP lineups. Colts edge players Kwity Paye (ankle) and Yannick Ngakoue (back) are also questionable and don't look worth waiting for. Paye missed all 3 days of practice this week. Ngakoue left Friday's practice early and then missed Saturday.

Colts EDGE Kwity Paye (ankle) is active for today’s game against the Raiders.

Colts EDGE Kwity Paye popped up on the injury report after missing Friday's practice with ankle trouble. He's now questionable for Sunday's game against the Raiders. It's particularly worrisome because Paye missed 3 games with a high-ankle sprain before his Week 9 return. We'll see about his status Sunday, but you might not be able to wait for him in IDP lineups thanks to the late-afternoon kickoff.

Colts LB Shaquille Leonard will not only miss this week's game, but also at least the 3 after that. The team has placed him on IR following a setback with his troublesome back. Leonard had surgery in June, then didn't appear in a game until Week 4. A concussion and facial injury then sidelined him until Week 8. Leonard has yet to exceed 54% playing time in his 3 appearances. Indianapolis has a Week 14 bye, so Leonard will now be out until at least Week 15. And even then, he'll be a poor bet to return at full playing time. He's droppable in nearly all redraft formats.

The Colts have ruled LB Shaquille Leonard (back, ankle) out for Sunday's game against the Raiders. That should return LB Bobby Okereke to full playing time. We've moved him up the Week 10 IDP rankings.

The Colts added LB Shaquille Leonard to the injury report Thursday after he missed practice with back and ankle issues. It might have been a rest/maintenance day for the veteran, but it's the 1st practice he has missed since Week 6. So it's clearly not a good thing. We'll see what Friday holds for him.

Colts HC Frank Reich said Friday that EDGE Kwity Paye will play Sunday against the Patriots. He has been out since Week 5 with a high-ankle sprain but returned to full practice Thursday. He has moved up our Week 9 IDP rankings.

Colts CB Kenny Moore (finger) is active for today's game against the Commanders.

Colts CB Kenny Moore is questionable for Sunday's game against the Commanders after being added to Friday's injury report with a finger issue. We'll check his status Sunday. The team ruled EDGE Kwity Paye (ankle) out for the game.

Colts LB Shaquille Leonard will play Sunday against the Commanders, though he's not yet going full time. "He’s ahead of schedule, but not quite there yet so he will be on a pitch count," HC Frank Reich told the Indianapolis Star. "We feel he is the best defensive player in the league. Our goal is to get him out there for 100 percent of the snaps as soon as we can, but we’re just not quite there yet." Leonard is coming off surgery for a broken nose, as well as a concussion. That followed a slow start to the year coming off June back surgery. It's tough to know just how many snaps Leonard will play, but we've boosted Zaire Franklin to full playing time and moved him way up the Week 8 IDP rankings. He played 100% in the 1 game that has included Leonard so far this year (Week 4).

Colts LB Shaquille Leonard practiced in full Wednesday and was listed only for the back issue, which was the June surgery whose recovery kept him out to open the season. It's good news that the team isn't listing his broken nose that required more recent surgery. Leonard's inactivity in the wake of that kept HC Frank Reich from playing him in last week's loss at Tennessee, despite full practices leading up to the weekend. Leonard seems to be on track to return for this Sunday's game against Washington. That would likely take playing time away from IDP revelation Zaire Franklin. We'll watch for word on whether Leonard will immediately assume a full-time role.

The Colts have ruled LB Shaquille Leonard (nose) and EDGE Kwity Paye (ankle) out for Sunday's game against the Titans. Leonard finished the week with 2 full practices, making him seem close to a return. So he likely needs more time to heal from the surgery for his broken nose. Paye has yet to practice since suffering his high-ankle sprain in Week 5.

Colts S Julian Blackmon (ankle) is active for today's game against the Jaguars.

The Colts have ruled LB Shaquille Leonard and EDGE Kwity Paye out for Sunday's game against the Jaguars. Leonard had surgery for his broken nose. We'll see about his availability beyond this week. Paye is dealing with a high-ankle sprain.

Colts DT DeForest Buckner (elbow) was listed as a full practice participant every day this week and carries no injury designation into Thursday night's game against the Broncos. That's good news, because he didn't practice at all last week and then played just 35% of the snaps in the loss to Tennessee. That's less than half of Buckner's usual playing time. It appears we should expect something at least much closer to the full version of Buckner this week.

Colts LB Shaquille Leonard suffered a broken nose in addition to his concussion in Sunday's loss to the Titans. HC Frank Reich said Tuesday that issue might keep Leonard out beyond his concussion recovery but that the team won't know until "significant swelling subsides," according to ESPN's Stephen Holder. We'll see about that return timeline. In the meantime, LB Zaire Franklin continues as a full-timer next to Bobby Okereke.

Zak Keefer of The Athletic reports that Colts LB Shaquille Leonard and DL Tyquan Lewis will miss Thursday's game against the Broncos because of concussions they suffered in Sunday's loss to the Titans. We'll see about the availability of both players for Week 6 (vs. Jacksonville).

Colts LB Shaquille Leonard left his 1st appearance of the season in the 1st half with a concussion. That almost certainly means Leonard will also miss Thursday night's game against the Broncos. We'll see about his progress through the league protocol. LB Zaire Franklin will return to elevated playing time in Leonard's absence.

Colts LB Shaquille Leonard (knee) is active for the 1st time this season and ready to play against the Titans. HC Frank Reich cautioned this week that Leonard isn't back to 100%, so we'll see if they limit his role. But it appears the team has been cautious in working the veteran back. So we're willing to risk Leonard in IDP lineups. DT DeForest Buckner (elbow) is also active after entering the day questionable.
