Dolphins S Jevon Holland is questionable for Sunday's game against the Patriots. He reported concussion symptoms Monday after a Sunday night collision with LB David Long. Holland returned to that game shortly after the collision. He did make it back for limited Thursday and Friday practice. We'll see whether Holland can get cleared this weekend.

The Dolphins expect to have CB Jalen Ramsey in the lineup for Sunday's game against the Patriots, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. That will make for a much quicker return than initially expected following his meniscus repair. Original reports had Ramsey expected to be out until December. It's tough to know whether the veteran corner will be ready for full playing time right away, as well as just how much impact he'll have on the Miami defense. But his return can only help a defense that ranks 24th in pass DVOA so far. Don't bet on Ramsey being an IDP factor right away, but he could get into deeper lineups after the Week 10 bye.

Dolphins LB David Long left in the second half of Sunday night's game against the Eagles to be evaluated for a concussion. He and teammate S Jevon Holland simultaneously left for a sideline check after colliding with each other on a play. Holland re-entered the game shortly thereafter, but Long went to the locker room for further evaluation. We'll watch for further word on his status.

NFL Network's Tom Pelissero reports that Dolphins CB Jalen Ramsey is "far ahead of schedule" in recovering from his August knee surgery. Ramsey could reportedly start practicing as early as this coming week. Pelissero says the team plans to "ramp him up gradually." But getting onto the field anytime soon would put Ramsey on track to beat his initial return expectation by a lot. We'll watch for more on his return.

Dolphins Edge Jaelan Phillips (oblique) is active for today's game against the Panthers. He missed the past two contests and indicated during the week that he wasn't sure whether he'd be ready. Don't be surprised if he plays a smaller snap share then usual. But there's plenty of upside to make him worth a slot in IDP lineups. Edge Andrew Van Ginkel -- who has seen playing-time boosts in Phillips' absence -- remains an upside play for this contest as well.

Dolphins Edge Jaelan Phillips (oblique) is questionable for Sunday's game against the Panthers. Phillips managed limited practices all week, which is also what he did last week before entering the game questionable and going inactive. We'll check his status Sunday morning.

Dolphins Edge Jaelan Phillips (oblique) is inactive for today's game against the Giants. That boosts the upside for Edge Andrew Van Ginkel, who is a strong IDP option for Week 5.

Dolphins Edge Jaelan Phillips (oblique) is questionable for Sunday's game against the Giants. He managed limited practices all week after missing last Sunday's loss in Buffalo. The Palm Beach Post reports that Phillips "said he's not 100 percent but is confident he's healthy enough to help the team." If he's active, Phillips belongs in IDP lineups against the Giants. S DeShon Elliott (groin) is off the final injury report and ready to return after missing Week 4.

Dolphins Edge Jaelan Phillips put in limited practices Wednesday and Thursday. That's progress after he missed practice all last week with an oblique injury that cost him the Buffalo game. We'll see Friday about Phillips' game outlook. Meanwhile, S DeShon Elliott (groin) graduated to a full Thursday practice. He spent all last week limited before missing the game and then remained limited Wednesday.

Dolphins S DeShon Elliott (ankle, groin) is inactive for today's game against the Bills. That should mean Brandon Jones starting in his place. Jones' struggles in coverage will make Miami's secondary even more vulnerable to the Bills' pass offense. But Jones should be at least as good a bet as Elliott for tackles. Miami has used him heavily as a blitzer in the past, which adds IDP upside. Jones is interesting for fantasy use in an upside matchup for DB tackles.

The Dolphins have ruled Edge Jaelan Phillips (oblique) out for Sunday's game against the Bills. His absence will mean more playing time for Edge Andrew Van Ginkel. When Philips missed Week 2, Van Ginkel played 88% of snaps and delivered 6 tackles, 1 sack, 3 QB hits, and 1 pass deflection. He has climbed into DL2 territory in our Week 4 DL rankings. Edge Emmanuel Ogbah also figures to get more playing time. He has yet to play more than 23 snaps in a game this season, though, and doesn't deserve consideration in most IDP leagues.

Dolphins Edge Jaelan Phillips left Sunday's win over the Broncos with an oblique injury. That's a new issue after he missed Week 2 with a back injury. HC Mike McDaniel said afterward that the team trainer "wasn't too worried," according to Joe Schad of the Palm Beach Post. We'll see about Phillips' outlook for Week 4.

Dolphins Edge Jaelan Phillips is active for today's game against the Broncos. He missed Week 2 after hurting his back in Friday practice. But Phillips should return to IDP lineups today.

The Dolphins added Edge Jaelan Phillips to the injury report Friday and list him questionable for Sunday's game against the Patriots with a back injury he suffered in Friday's practice. We'll see about his status Sunday, but the late kickoff might mean you need to go with another option in your IDP lineup.

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport updated the reports on Dolphins CB Jalen Ramsey's left knee injury. He says Ramsey is expected to get a full meniscus repair, which would keep him out until December "if all goes well." This will be confirmed (or altered) at his Friday surgery. If you play in an IDP league where CBs are relevant, then you should treat Ramsey as though he's not playing this season. We've knocked his projection down to three games in our IDP rankings. Cam Smith and Kader Kohou look like candidates to compete for the vacated starting role opposite Xavien Howard.

Update: Friday's surgery confirmed this path. Ramsey had the full repair and is expected to be out until December, according to Rapoport.

Dolphins CB Jalen Ramsey left the field late in Thursday's practice with a left knee injury. ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that Ramsey will have surgery on the knee and is expected to "miss the start of the regular season." The corner's ACL is reportedly "intact," however. We'll watch for more on just how long Ramsey will be out.

Update: NFL Network reports that Ramsey is expected to miss at least 6-8 weeks for the meniscus injury. "Doctors will have to determine whether the ligament can be repaired or must be removed, which would increase the cornerback's recovery timeline," the report says.

The Dolphins have agreed to a two-year, $11 million deal with LB David Long Jr., according to multiple reports. Long spent nearly all of the past two seasons starting for the Titans, though he lost 11 games to injuries over that span. Long has been productive -- fantasy wise -- since stepping into the lineup. He has a shot to be the top fantasy producer in a Miami LB corps that has seen Jerome Baker lead the scoring over the past several years. But Baker's play -- and playing time -- has wavered. Long doesn't figure to excite fantasy players, so expect to be able to select him later in 2023 redraft IDP leagues.

Dolphins EDGE Bradley Chute (ankle, hand) and CB Xavien Howard (knee) are inactive for today's game against the Patriots.

Dolphins EDGE Jaelan Phillips (knee) and S Eric Rowe (hamstring) are active for today's game against the Packers.

Dolphins EDGE Jaelan Phillips (quad) is active for today's game against the Bears. S Eric Rowe (hip) is as well but shouldn't be in IDP lineups after being a healthy scratch a week ago.
