Patriots QB Mac Jones (ankle) is inactive for today’s game vs. the Browns. We’ll see if he can make it back for Week 7. QB Bailey Zappe makes his 2nd career start today.

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport calls Patriots QB Mac Jones (ankle) "highly unlikely" to play vs. the Browns today. Jones was officially limited in all 3 practices this week and is listed as questionable. But he always seemed like a long shot to play just 3 weeks after suffering what looked like a significant high-ankle sprain. QB Bailey Zappe will make his 2nd career start today.

Jaguars LB Foye Oluokun (calf) is questionable for Sunday's game against the Colts. He put in limited practices all week. We'll check his status Sunday morning.

Patriots QB Mac Jones (ankle) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game vs. the Browns. That's an upgrade from last week, when Jones was doubtful. We're still projecting QB Bailey Zappe to get another start this weekend, but we should get another update on the situation on Sunday morning.

Patriots QB Mac Jones (ankle) was again limited in Wednesday's practice. He was limited all last week before missing the Lions game, so this doesn't tell us much about his status for Sunday's game vs. the Browns. We'll get another update tomorrow.

Stepping up for an injured Rashod Bateman, Ravens WR Devin Duvernay totaled 5 catches for 54 yards. He added 24 rushing yards on 3 attempts, including one 12-yard burst where he picked up a fumble that hit him when in motion. Overall, he handled a 21.8% target share -- a clear 2nd on the team behind Mark Andrews. Duvernay’s dynamic skill set should keep him on the fantasy radar going forward, at least in deep formats. Consider Bateman questionable for Week 6 (at Giants) with his foot injury.

Jaguars QB Trevor Lawrence endured a 2nd straight rough outing in Sunday's loss to the Texans. He completed just 53.2% of his passes and threw 2 INTs, with no TDs. That marks 2 straight games with multiple turnovers after a much stronger start to the year. Lawrence sent 11 targets to WR Marvin Jones, 10 to TE Evan Engram and 8 to WR Zay Jones, who returned after missing Week 4 with an ankle sprain. WR Christian Kirk drew just 3 looks but led Jacksonville pass-catchers in snaps and routes. The Jaguars get a Week 6 rematch with the Colts, who they beat 24-0 in Week 2. Then comes a home date with the Giants.

Bills WR Gabriel Davis had a big Sunday, thanks to TD catches of 98 and 62 yards in the win over the Steelers. He added 1 other reception, for a total of 171 yards and 2 TDs among 6 targets. That marked a 19.4% share of Josh Allen pass attempts. (QB Case Keenum then entered to close out the game.) Davis trailed only WR Stefon Diggs in that category, and matched Diggs' playing time. This looks like the level of usage we should expect from a healthy Davis. We'll see how the target share holds up once WR Isaiah McKenzie and TE Dawson Knox return from injuries.

Patriots QB Mac Jones (ankle) is inactive for today’s game vs. the Lions. 4th-round rookie QB Bailey Zappe makes his 1st career start. Expect a run-heavy game plan from New England.

Broncos CB Ronald Darby tore his right ACL in Thursday night's loss to the Colts. That obviously ends his season. We'll see whether it also marks the end of his time in Denver. Darby has 1 year remaining on his contract, but that year carries a $13 million cap hit vs. just $3 million in dead cap space if the team cuts him.

Patriots QB Mac Jones (ankle) is listed as doubtful for Sunday’s game vs. the Lions. He got in 3 limited practices this week, so a Week 6 return looks possible. QB Brian Hoyer (concussion) was placed on IR, so it’ll be 4th-round rookie Bailey Zappe under center for New England this weekend.

The 49ers have ruled DE Arik Armstead (foot, ankle) and DT Javon Kinlaw (knee) out for Sunday's game against the Panthers. That damages both the run D and pass rush for San Francisco. We'll see, though, whether the Carolina offense can take advantage. We'd still feel comfy using the Niners' team D in fantasy football lineups.

Patriots QB Mac Jones (ankle) remained limited in Thursday's practice. QB Brian Hoyer (concussion) was placed on IR, knocking him out for at least the next 4 games. That means it'll be Bailey Zappe under center for New England this weekend if Jones can't go.

Bills WR Gabriel Davis (ankle) was a full participant in Wednesday's practice -- his 1st full practice since suffering that ankle injury on September 17. Davis has played a full allotment of snaps the past 2 games but clearly hasn't been at 100%. It looks like he'll be in much better shape for this weekend's game vs. the Steelers.

Patriots QB Mac Jones managed a limited practice Wednesday. That's a pretty big step after he missed Week 4 with what was deemed a pretty significant high-ankle sprain. Jones reportedly wanted to play Sunday against the Packers. We'll see if he can actually get back into the lineup for Week 5. We wouldn't be using him in fantasy lineups outside of superflex and 2-QB leagues. But Jones' return should be good for New England pass-catchers.

Niners DL Arik Armstead left Monday night's game against the Rams with a foot injury. He has been dealing with plantar fasciitis. We'll see about his status for Week 5.

Jaguars QB Trevor Lawrence threw an INT and lost 4 fumbles in Sunday's rain-soaked loss in Philadelphia. He also managed just 11 of 23 passing for 174 yards. Lawrence did hit WR Jamal Agnew for a pair of TDs, but the 5 turnovers wiped out all fantasy value. Lawrence and the Jacksonville offense get a nice rebound matchup at home with Houston in Week 5.

Jaguars RB Travis Etienne led the team in rushing yards Sunday, but that only took 32 yards on 8 carries. That number matched James Robinson, who gained just 29 yards on the ground. Etienne also drew the only target between them but failed to catch it. This looks like a throwaway day for an offense that had started much stronger.

WR Christian Kirk led the Jaguars with 9 targets in a sloppy loss to the Eagles on Sunday, but he managed only 2 catches (for 60 yards). WR Jamal Agnew stepped in to catch 4 balls for 50 yards (among 6 targets) and score the team's only 2 offensive TDs. JaMycal Hasty was the only other Jaguar to draw more than 1 target on a sloppy offensive day in rainy Philly. TE Evan Engram and WR Marvin Jones each drew just 1 target apiece.

11:30am EDT 10/2/22

Bills WR Gabe Davis (ankle) is active for today’s game vs. the Ravens. He played 96% of Buffalo’s offensive snaps last week but reportedly tweaked that ankle again in practice this week. Consider Davis a risk/reward WR3 in Week 4 fantasy lineups.
