ESPN's Adam Schefter hears that Rams QB Matt Stafford (thumb) is "unlikely" to play vs. the Packers today. "The team is giving him all the time it can before it has to make any final decisions about his availability," Schefter adds. QB Brett Rypien is still the favorite to start today, but it sounds like Stafford has a good chance to be ready after Los Angeles' Week 10 bye. We'll get the Rams' inactives around 11:30 am ET.

Rams QB Matt Stafford (thumb) did not practice on Wednesday. Although not ruled out yet, he feels like a long shot to play vs. the Packers this weekend. The Rams then have a Week 10 bye. It'll be QB Brett Rypien under center for the Rams if Stafford is out on Sunday.

Rams QB Matt Stafford is still undergoing tests on his injured right thumb, according to The Athletic's Jourdan Rodrigue. The current plan is to evaluate his grip strength throughout the week to determine whether he can play against the Packers on Sunday. "Chillier conditions in GB combined with a bye after are some details in consideration for the short term, but Rams also are not ruling out injured reserve at this point as they are still gathering information that helps discern a larger timeline for Stafford," Rodrigue adds. We should learn more about Stafford's status by the end of Monday. For now, we're assuming that he does not play vs. Green Bay this weekend. That'd leave QB Brett Rypien under center for Los Angeles.

Rams WR Cooper Kupp mustered only 4 catches for 21 yards in Sunday’s loss at Dallas. Kupp led the team with 10 targets, but the big storyline here is the injury to Matt Stafford’s right thumb. He left in the second half and didn't finish the game, so we’ll track his status closely. Brett Rypien took over but looked overmatched on his 10 attempts. The Rams head to Green Bay for Week 9.

Rams WR Puka Nacua bounced back in Week 7 vs. the Steelers with 8 catches on 12 targets for a monstrous, team-leading 154 receiving yards. The rookie now leads all NFL WRs with 58 receptions on the year. His teammate Cooper Kupp didn’t see nearly the same level of success on Sunday, hauling just 2 of 7 targets for a disappointing 29 receiving yards. Regardless, both wideouts will be must-start options in Week 8 vs. the Cowboys.

Rams WR Cooper Kupp grabbed 8 receptions for 118 yards on a team-high 12 targets Sunday against the Eagles, his first game back from the hamstring injury. Kupp could have had an even bigger day. He and Matthew Stafford narrowly missed a pair of deep connections. Anyone who held Kupp through the injury -- or acquired him during that time -- should be thrilled with the production. Start Kupp weekly going forward.

Rams WR Cooper Kupp (hamstring) is officially active for today’s game vs. the Eagles. HC Sean McVay said Friday that he’s not planning to limit Kupp’s snaps in his 2023 debut. See where he sits in the Week 5 WR Rankings.

ESPN's Adam Schefter tweets that there will be "no expected limitations" for Rams WR Cooper Kupp vs. the Eagles today. It's confirmation that Kupp will be a full-go after HC Sean McVay said Friday that he's not planning to limit Kupp's snaps in his 2023 debut. See where Kupp sits in the Week 5 WR Rankings.

Rams WR Cooper Kupp (hamstring) has been activated from IR. He's set to make his 2023 debut vs. the Eagles tomorrow. Kupp sits a bit lower than usual in our Week 5 WR Rankings but is pretty much a must-start.

Rams HC Sean McVay said Friday that he's not currently planning to limit WR Cooper Kupp's snaps vs. the Eagles this weekend. But he hedged a little. “I think we’ll see how it goes," McVay said. "I think what you do know is (that) once he gets going, you want to be smart about it. I also know that once a game gets going, you’re kind of in that moment. … It’ll be something that we’ll want to be careful about, but I think there will be a lot of that communication in terms of how he’s feeling as well because he has such a good ability to do that with myself and the rest of our coaches.” Kupp certainly comes with elevated risk in Week 5 fantasy lineups. But his upside is too big to bench in most cases.

Rams HC Sean McVay confirmed on Friday that WR Cooper Kupp (hamstring) will play vs. the Eagles this weekend. The team has seemingly played it safe with Kupp's return from his recurring hamstring injury, so we'd expect him to be at least close to 100%. It's still possible that he's on some type of snap count on Sunday, but Kupp would be tough to leave out of Week 5 fantasy lineups considering his dominance since 2021. His return is an obvious threat to WR Puka Nacua and WR Tutu Atwell's volume -- although Nacua would also be nearly impossible to bench. See where all those guys sit in the Week 5 WR Rankings.

The Athletic's Dianna Russini confirms that Rams WR Cooper Kupp (hamstring) is expected to play vs. the Eagles on Sunday, barring a setback. Russini adds that Kupp has been on a snap count at practice, so it's certainly possible that he's on a snap count this weekend. Still, an active Kupp will be tough to keep out of fantasy lineups -- especially in what figures to be a pass-heavy game from the Rams.

Rams WR Cooper Kupp (hamstring) was listed as a full participant in Thursday's practice. It sure looks like he'll make his 2023 debut vs. the Eagles this weekend. OC Mike LaFleur said Kupp “looks healthy," adding that when Kupp was “gearing up for that first game” before he went on IR, “you could tell he almost could tell that something was still a little bit off. And from my vantage point, it looks like he feels really good.”

Rams WR Cooper Kupp (hamstring) was officially a limited participant in Wednesday's practice. He's eligible to play vs. the Eagles this weekend, but it's still unclear if he will. We'll keep you updated on his progress leading up to Sunday's kickoff.

Rams WR Cooper Kupp (hamstring) has been designated to return. He's eligible to practice on Wednesday, which he's expected to do. It's still unclear if Kupp will play vs. the Eagles this weekend, though. We'll keep a close eye on his status.

The Athletic's Dianna Russini reports that the Rams are "hopeful" WR Cooper Kupp can play vs. the Eagles this weekend. The team wants Kupp to be "80-90%" healthy, and Kupp isn't there yet. "They are taking this day-by-day," Russini adds. "The hope is that he plays [against Philadelphia.] ... But they wanna be really careful knowing they wanna see him be able to do what he does well for them vs. rolling him out there and just being ok and even possibly reinjuring it." The vibe we get from both this report and HC Sean McVay's comments last week is that Kupp is worse than 50/50 to play this weekend. We've left him out of the Week 5 Rankings for now but will continue to keep a close eye on his status.

Rams WR Cooper Kupp (hamstring) will practice next week, HC Sean McVay said Friday. McVay stopped short of saying that Kupp will play in Week 5 against the Eagles, though. McVay said he "100%" factors in Kupp's opinion on how he feels when deciding when to put him back on the field, per The Athletic's Jourdan Rodrigue. We'll keep close tabs on Kupp's status this coming week.

Rams HC Sean McVay said it's "the hope" that WR Cooper Kupp (hamstring) will be ready to return next week. “He’s progressing. He’s doing a good job," McVay added. "But I don’t want to pigeonhole myself into (anything). He’s ramping up his workload ... When you’re talking about ‘returning to performance’ and ‘returning to play’ those are different things. We want him to be able to ‘return to performance’ at the level he’s capable of, and so we’re continuing to take it a day at a time. I know he’s doing everything in his power to be able to get himself ready to go and get out there with his teammates. Hopefully next week will represent that. If not, I’ll keep you guys posted.” It sounds like Kupp is trending in the right direction -- but isn't necessarily a lock to play next week. We'll keep you updated on the situation.
