Commanders DT Jonathan Allen left in the 1st half of Sunday's game against the Browns with a knee injury and has been ruled out for the day. We'll see about his status heading into Week 18.
Kamren Curl inactive, Jonathan Allen active for Week 2
Commanders S Kamren Curl (thumb) is out for today's game against the Lions. It'll be his 2nd straight missed game. Darrick Forest had a nice outing in Curl's place in Week 1 and is a viable IDP option. DT Jonathan Allen (groin) is active. Originally listed without a game status on the final injury report, Allen got added as questionable over the weekend. There might be elevated risk to using him in IDP lineups, though injuries to the Detroit O-line counter with upside.
Washington activates Jonathan Allen, Montez Sweat
Washington has activated DE Montez Sweat and DT Jonathan Allen — among others — from the COVID list. That likely clears them to face the Eagles on Tuesday. Sweat does still need to be activated from IR, where he spent the past 5 weeks with his jaw fracture
Washington places Jonathan Allen on COVID list
Washington has placed DT Jonathan Allen on the COVID list. Allen has actually seen fellow DT Matt Ioannidis pass him in snaps the past 2 weeks. A narrow Week 13 edge gave way to Ioannidis playing 66 snaps to Allen's 46 in Sunday's loss to Dallas. Allen still delivered 1 of his most productive stat lines of the season and would be a significant loss if he can't make it back for Sunday's game against the Eagles. Washington also has 3 DEs already on the COVID list. The return of Montez Sweat could particularly soften the blow of missing Allen. We'll see where the D-line sits heading into the weekend.
