Lions LB Alex Anzalone is doubtful for Sunday's game against the Saints with a hand injury that kept him out of practice all week. He hurt the hand late in the Thanksgiving loss to the Packers. DC Aaron Glenn said Friday that LB Jack Campbell will take over the MLB role and call plays in the defensive huddle. That gives Campbell significant fantasy upside, especially in a game that could find RB Alvin Kamara leading New Orleans in receiving. We've boosted Campbell into LB2 territory of our Week 13 IDP rankings.
Alex Anzalone done with shoulder injury
Lions MLB Alex Anzalone will miss the rest of the season with the right-shoulder injury he suffered in Sunday's win over the Cardinals. Detroit placed him on IR on Monday. Anzalone has a history of shoulder issues, including multiple dislocations of that right shoulder. He's set to hit unrestricted free agency in March.

The Lions watched MLB Alex Anzalone leave with an injury for the 2nd straight game Sunday against the Cardinals. This time a shoulder injury knocked him out. The week before, an ankle injury cut his appearance short and rendered Anzalone questionable for Week 15. We'll see about his availability for Week 16 and beyond. LB Josh Woods also left Sunday's win over Arizona with a shoulder injury.
