Irv Smith doubtful for Week 3

Bengals TE Irv Smith (hamstring) is listed as doubtful for Monday night's game vs. the Rams. He seemingly hurt his hamstring on Friday and was limited in Saturday's practice. Smith should obviously be on fantasy benches for Week 3. His absence will leave Cincinnati with TEs Drew Sample and Mitchell Wilcox.

Bengals TE Hayden Hurst (calf) is out for Saturday's game vs. the Patriots. He was limited in practice all week and originally listed as questionable. So, unless he suffered a setback, Hurst seemingly has a good chance to return for Week 17. Mitchell Wilcox gets another game as Cincinnati's lead TE but would be a desperation fantasy play.

Bengals HC Zac Taylor labeled TE Hayden Hurst (calf) "week-to-week" on Monday. It doesn't sound like Hurst will make it back for this weekend's game vs. Bucs. Mitchell Wilcox stepped in as Cincinnati's lead TE in the win over the Browns but finished with just 1 catch on 2 targets for 10 yards.

Bengals TE Hayden Hurst (calf) didn't practice all week and is out for Sunday's game vs. the Browns. Mitchell Wilcox figures to step in as Cincinnati's lead TE but isn't a realistic fantasy option. Hurst's absence should just mean a few extra targets to be spread between Ja'Marr Chase, Tee Higgins, Tyler Boyd and Joe Mixon.

Bengals TE Hayden Hurst (calf) did not practice on Wednesday. HC Zac Taylor admitted on Monday that Hurst is "doubtful" to play vs. the Browns this weekend. That'll leave Mitchell Wilcox as Cincinnati's lead TE -- and mean more targets for WRs Ja'Marr Chase, Tee Higgins and Tyler Boyd.
