The Seahawks announced this week that S Nick Emmanwori will open training camp on the physically unable to perform list. When I read that, I just assumed they were being cautious with the ankle injury that made him questionable for the Super Bowl but didn't keep him from playing. But ESPN's Brady Henderson reports that the second-year safety had surgery on that right ankle and is "expected to miss some time," though they anticipate he'll be ready for the regular season.
Julian Love Out Week 9 and Likely Beyond
The Seahawks have ruled S Julian Love out for Sunday's game against the Commanders because of the hamstring injury that has sidelined him since Week 4. HC Mike Macdonald said Love suffered a setback ahead of Wednesday's practice. Love then missed all three practice days and is reportedly a candidate for IR.
Julian Love, Devon Witherspoon Still Not Ready to Return
Seahawks S Julian Love (hamstring) and CB Devon Witherspoon (knee) are inactive for tonight's game against the Texans. It'll be the third straight missed game for both players, each of whom entered the night questionable.
