When I read that, I just assumed they were being cautious with the ankle injury that made him questionable for the Super Bowl but didn't keep him from playing. But ESPN's Brady Henderson reports that the second-year safety had surgery on that right ankle and is "expected to miss some time," though they anticipate he'll be ready for the regular season.

Seahawks LB Ernest Jones is doubtful for Sunday's game against the Cardinals. Jones left last week's game against the Commanders with a knee injury. He put in limited practices Wednesday and Thursday but sat out Friday. His absence makes Drake Thomas and Tyrice Knight both good IDP options for Week 10.
