Week 1
Williams looked explosive and decisive in Week 1. His most impressive run came on a 4th and 1 play where he scampered for a 35 yard TD. Despite looking strong and getting some of the early work, he was third on the team in carries behind both Lamar Jackson and Latavius Murray. Going forward, this is not great news for Williams. Murray seeing more volume and in key spots despite the lack of practice reps would lead one to think he is more of a complimentary option instead of a lead back seeing the volume. We'll also see if Le'Veon Bell gets involved any time soon.

The Ravens are planning to use RBs Ty'Son Williams, Latavius Murray and Devonta Freeman against the Chiefs tonight, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. "Do not be surprised if the Ravens roll with the hot hand," Rapoport adds. Williams is most likely to get that "hot hand" and remains the best fantasy bet here. But consider him a risk/reward RB3 or flex. Murray is next in our Week 2 Rankings but sits outside RB3 territory across formats.

ESPN's Jamison Hensley confirms that Ty'Son Williams is now the Ravens' #2 RB. The former undrafted free agent has passed RB Justice Hill on the depth chart. While Hill has missed parts of August with an ankle injury, Williams has impressed on the practice field and with a 5.4 yards-per-carry average in preseason action. We'll see if Baltimore makes an addition to the backfield over the next couple of weeks, but Williams is worth considering as a late-round flier in fantasy drafts.
