Oronde Gadsden Left Out of Passing Party

The Chargers' passing game came back to life for Sunday's win at Dallas, producing 300 yards for just the third time all season and first since Week 7. TE Oronde Gadsden, however, managed just 1 reception on one target for the game. That marked the third time in the past four games that Gadsden finished with just 1 catch.

Chargers rookie TE Oronde Gadsden II racked up 7 catches for 164 yards and a TD in Sunday's loss to the Colts. He benefited from QB Justin Herbert attempting 55 passes -- third-most of his career -- but the game also found Gadsden apparently taking over the position.

Chargers TE Will Dissly (knee) is inactive for today’s game vs. the Commanders. He was a full participant in Friday's practice, so this is likely a healthy scratch. Dissly appears to have lost his job to TE Oronde Gadsden, who has impressed the past two weeks. The rookie is worth stashing in deep fantasy leagues.

Chargers TE Will Dissly (knee) is listed as questionable for this weekend’s game vs. the Commanders. He practiced all week, including a full workout on Friday, so Dissly should be available. His absence the last two weeks freed up a spot on the gameday roster for rookie TE Oronde Gadsden. It’s unclear what the TE room will look like this week, making it a situation to avoid in all fantasy lineups.

Chargers TE Will Dissly (knee) is out for Sunday’s game vs. the Giants. His absence last week led to TE Oronde Gadsden’s first action of the season. The rookie responded with a 5-46-0 line on seven targets. HC Jim Harbaugh said earlier this week that Gadsden has earned more work. He’s not yet a viable fantasy starter, but we’ll be watching Gadsden closely on Sunday.
