He and the team have declined to reveal details about the injury, but Campbell released a lengthy statement through the team Wednesday. The tone -- unsurprisingly -- sounds like a player with no designs on returning to the field this season.
Alex Anzalone Likely Out for Regular Season
Lions LB Alex Anzalone left Sunday's game with an injury to his left forearm. HC Dan Campbell said afterward that Anzalone suffered a fracture that will knock him out for 6-8 weeks.
Elliott, Rodriguez active vs. Giants
Lions S DeShon Elliott (concussion) and LB Malcolm Rodriguez (elbow) are active for today's game against the Giants. Rodriguez put in full practices all week but still entered the day questionable, indicating that his elbow is not all the way back. He missed last week's game with the injury after playing just 26% in the game where he hurt it (but returned). Rodriguez looks too risky for most IDP lineups. Elliott should be OK to use at normal levels.
