Basic Stats Full Player Fantasy Analysis

What You Need to Know:

-Agholor quietly enjoyed a bounce-back year with the Raiders in 2021 (48-896-8 in 16 games). The yardage set a career high; the TDs tied a career high.

-With an average depth of target near the top of the league (15.74), he filled a downfield role for Derek Carr.

-A primary slot target with the Eagles, Agholor did most of his damage out wide (66.3% snap share) with Vegas.

-In New England, he joins a revamped pass catching corps that includes Jonnu Smith, Hunter Henry, Jakobi Meyers and Kendrick Bourne. Julian Edelman announced his retirement over the spring.

-Counting WRs only, the Pats lost 118 targets to retirement/free agency this offseason.

-We expect Agholor to lead this WR unit in targets (88) and snaps. But this low-volume pass game will likely flow heavily through the TEs, limiting the upside.

-Plus, the Pats passed on only 46.7% of their plays last season.

-Cam Newton will battle rookie Mac Jones for the starting job, and we expect Newton to win out in the short term. An eventual move to Jones only further complicates Agholor’s fantasy value.

Draft Sharks Bottom Line:

Last year, Agholor ranked as the WR33 in PPR leagues. He sat WR45 in PPG.

Not bad considering his prior career arc. Normally we’d be out on a paying for a career year — especially for an inconsistent player like Agholor. But he’s going at the very end of most drafts; undrafted in some. He’s in play as a best ball option.

The Patriots signed WR Nelson Agholor to a 2-year, $26 million deal, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports. Agholor is coming off a solid 2020 in Vegas, posting a 48-896-8 line on 82 targets. He ranked 21st in yards per route run among 84 WRs with 50+ targets. That, of course, followed 5 mostly disappointing seasons in Philadelphia. It makes this a risky signing for New England -- but Agholor has a real chance to lead the team in targets in 2021.

Raiders WR Nelson Agholor (ankle) isn't listed on the final Week 13 injury report. He only got in a limited practice on Friday, so it's safe to say he won't be at 100% on Sunday. But the plus matchup vs. the Jets keeps him in play as a WR3 or flex.

Raiders WR Nelson Agholor (ankle) missed his 2nd straight practice on Thursday. We don't have any details on the ankle, but his availability for Sunday's game against the Jets appears to be in question. We'll get another update on his status tomorrow.

The Raiders have agreed to a 1-year deal with WR Nelson Agholor, according to Jerry McDonald of the Oakland Tribune. Agholor played outside and inside with the Eagles but is probably best suited for the slot. That, however, became Hunter Renfrow's spot in 2019. In Oakland, Agholor would make more sense as competition for the outside role opposite Tyrell Williams. Of course, there's still room for the Raiders to add more to the position in free agency or the draft. We'll see how this group settles out. For now, Agholor isn't worth much attention in best-ball fantasy football drafts. The Raiders have also agreed to a deal to bring back reserve RB Rod Smith. He spent 3 games with the Raiders last season but didn't garner a touch.

Eagles WR Nelson Agholor (knee) is out for this weekend’s game against the Giants. Greg Ward will again be the best volume bet among Philly WRs after totaling 23 targets over the past 3 weeks.
