Seattle Seahawks Injury News
View AllNick Emmanwori's PUP Designation is More Troubling Than I Thought
The Seahawks announced this week that S Nick Emmanwori will open training camp on the physically unable to perform list. When I read that, I just assumed they were being cautious with the ankle injury that made him questionable for the Super Bowl but didn't keep him from playing. But ESPN's Brady Henderson reports that the second-year safety had surgery on that right ankle and is "expected to miss some time," though they anticipate he'll be ready for the regular season.
Ernest Jones OUT
Seahawks LB Ernest Jones is inactive for today's game against the Titans. It's a bit surprising after he played through the issue last week, but Jones' practice participation trended in this direction -- including a missed Friday workout. Seattle had already ruled out LB Tyrice Knight, so it looks like Chazz Surratt will run second at the position behind Drake Thomas. He'll be an uncertain bet for playing time, though. Don't be surprised if the Seahawks rely more on their deeper well of safeties.
Ernest Jones Likely Out for Week 10
Seahawks LB Ernest Jones is doubtful for Sunday's game against the Cardinals. Jones left last week's game against the Commanders with a knee injury. He put in limited practices Wednesday and Thursday but sat out Friday. His absence makes Drake Thomas and Tyrice Knight both good IDP options for Week 10.
