What You Need to Know:
  • Eskridge totaled 10 catches on 20 targets for 64 yards and 1 TD across 10 outings last season.
  • He played less than 50% of Seattle’s offensive snaps in 9 of those 10 games.
  • He played 70% of the snaps with Tyler Lockett out in Week 15. Eskridge finished that one catch-less on 4 targets.
  • He missed minicamp and the first 3 weeks of training camp with a toe injury.
  • Then he sustained a concussion in the season opener and missed the next 7 games.
  • The Seahawks took Eskridge in the 2nd round of the 2021 NFL Draft.
  • Eskridge didn’t break out until he was a 23-year-old, 5th-year senior at Western Michigan.
  • The 5’9, 190-pounder clocked a 4.38-second 40-yard dash at his Pro Day.
  • The Seahawks traded QB Russell Wilson to Denver in March. He’ll be replaced by some combination of Drew Lock and Geno Smith.
  • The 2021 Seahawks ranked 31st in pass attempts and 24th in situation-neutral pass rate. This will again be a run-centric offense in 2022.
  • D.K. Metcalf and Tyler Lockett return as Seattle’s top 2 WRs.
  • Eskridge will compete with Freddie Swain, Marquise Goodwin and rookie Bo Melton for the #3 WR job.
Draft Sharks Bottom Line:

We didn’t like Eskridge coming into the league, and he did absolutely nothing as a rookie last year to change our opinion.

He has a good chance to win Seattle’s #3 WR job this summer. But even then he’d be tough to get excited about in fantasy lineups behind D.K. Metcalf and Tyler Lockett in a run-leaning offense quarterbacked by Drew Lock or Geno Smith.

Marquise Goodwin, WR SEA

Goodwin out for Week 9

Seahawks WR Marquise Goodwin (groin) is out for Sunday’s game vs. the Cardinals. That leaves D’Wayne Eskridge as Seattle’s #3 WR but should just push a few extra targets to WRs D.K. Metcalf and Tyler Lockett.

Per HC Pete Carroll, Seahawks WR Dee Eskridge will play in Week 3 of the preseason following a “very good” week of practice. He had been sidelined since suffering a hamstring injury in Seattle’s first training camp practice. Eskridge could eventually run as Seattle’s WR3, but he’s off the redraft radar right now — even in deep formats.

The Seahawks placed WR D'Wayne Eskridge (concussion) on IR. He'll miss tonight's game vs. the Rams and at least 2 weeks beyond that. Seattle promoted WR Phillip Dorsett from the practice squad in a corresponding move. Dorsett is active for tonight's game.

Seahawks WR D’Wayne Eskridge (concussion) is inactive for today’s game against the Titans. Freddie Swain should again operate as Seattle’s #3 WR behind D.K. Metcalf and Tyler Lockett.

Seahawks WR D’Wayne Eskridge (concussion) is doubtful for Sunday’s game against the Titans. The rookie played just 12 snaps in the opener, so there’s minimal fantasy impact here.
