John Parker Romo Fantasy Overview

Falcons K Younghoe Koo is not traveling with the team to Minnesota for Sunday night's game against the Vikings. He missed a 44-yard FG that would have tied the game at the end of regulation last week -- after connecting on just 74% of his FG tries last year. Koo's time in Atlanta might be over. He'll be replaced this weekend by K John Parker Romo, who signed with Atlanta earlier this week. He made 11 of 12 FGs in four games with the Vikings last year. With Atlanta projected for just 20.5 points in Minnesota, Parker Romo is not a recommended Week 2 fantasy play.

Vikings K Will Reichard (quad) has been activated from IR. K John Parker Romo was released in a corresponding move. Reichard will be back for Sunday's game vs. the Falcons. He's a viable Week 14 fantasy start with Minnesota sporting a 25.5-point implied total.

Minnesota is signing K John Parker Romo to fill in for Reichard. The former undrafted free agent has yet to attempt an NFL kick. The Vikings have a 25.75-point implied total this weekend, but we'd shy away from using Romo in fantasy lineups in his NFL debut.
