Tyrone Tracy To IR With Hamstring Injury
Giants RB Tyrone Tracy will be placed on IR with the hamstring injury he suffered in Sunday's win over the Texans, GM Joe Schoen announced. That knocks Tracy out for at least the next 4 games, which makes Week 13 the earliest we'll see him again. Tracy can be dropped in the vast majority of redraft leagues. A Giants backfield that went 4 deep a couple of weeks ago is now down to just Cam Skattebo and Devin Singletary. Skattebo has a prime opportunity to reclaim clear lead duties after a nice Week 7 showing. Singletary is worth stashing as a handcuff with an outside chance at standalone value if Skattebo falters again.

Giants RB Cam Skattebo "should be ok" after limping off the field in overtime yesterday with an apparent hamstring issue. He gets a well-timed Week 8 bye, and it sounds like Skattebo should be ready come Week 9. We'll see about RB Tyrone Tracy, who also left the Texans game with a hamstring injury.

Giants RB Cam Skattebo said he "felt something" in his hamstring on his 42-yard run in overtime. He slid down at the end of the run and hobbled off the field. “Good thing we have a bye week," Skattebo said after the win over Houston. That Week 8 bye will help, but we'll see about Skattebo's availability for Week 9 and beyond. The Giants also lost RB Tyrone Tracy to a hamstring injury today, leaving Devin Singletary as the lone healthy RB.

But Raanan also expects RB Tyrone Tracy to be "heavily in the mix, probably close to a 50/50 split." With the Giants 10.5-point underdogs with a week-low 16.0-point implied total, this remains a backfield to try to avoid in fantasy lineups.
