Cam Skattebo Can Escape A Baby Hippo

Giants RB Cam Skattebo said on a recent appearance on the Rich Eisen Show that he's running at about 75% as he works back from his right leg and ankle injuries. "I can get away from like a baby hippo, maybe," Skattebo added. "That's about it. But, yeah, a little bit over a jog. Just kind of striding out, not exploding yet and getting into that part of the game, but the jog and the striding." Skattebo expects to be back to 100% in "about a month" and ready to go for training camp.

Matt Nagy Clouds the Giants’ Breakout Chances

The Giants are hiring Matt Nagy as their OC, according to multiple reports. Todd Monken was reportedly HC John Harbaugh's top choice for the job. But, like Harbaugh, Nagy has strong ties to Andy Reid. Nagy started his coaching career under Reid in Philadelphia and spent the past four seasons with Reid in Kansas City, serving as OC for the last three.

        Giants Land John Harbaugh

The Giants are finalizing a deal to hire John Harbaugh as their new HC. It's a five-year deal that will make Harbaugh one of the league's highest-paid coaches, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. Harbaugh is coming off an 18-year run with the Ravens, winning 61.4% of his regular season games and Super Bowl 47. It's a strong hire for New York. But Harbaugh worked his way up through the ranks as a special teams coach. That makes the rest of his offensive staff key to figuring out what this Giants attack will look like going forward. The Athletic's Dianna Russini reports that former Ravens OC Todd Monken is expected to join Harbaugh in New York, although it's unclear if he'll hold the same title. We'll keep you updated on how this Giants staff comes together -- and what it means for QB Jaxson Dart, WR Malik Nabers, and the rest of the offense.

Cam Skattebo Targeting Return By Training Camp

Giants RB Cam Skattebo said his goal is to be back on the field for training camp. He's working back from a right tibia fracture, ruptured deltoid ligament, and dislocated ankle suffered in the October 26 game against the Eagles. He's resumed jogging and said his rehab is on track.

Cam Skattebo Expected To Be Ready For Offseason Program

Giants RB Cam Skattebo suffered a dislocated ankle, fractured fibula, and ruptured deltoid ligament in the Week 8 loss to the Eagles, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. Skattebo had successful surgery that night, and the team expects him to be ready for the offseason program, per Rapoport. This was a significant injury, but it sounds like Skattebo will have no issue getting cleared for Week 1. He remains a solid buy for rebuilding dynasty teams.

Confirmed: Cam Skattebo Done For The Season

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport confirms that Giants RB Cam Skattebo will miss the rest of the season with a dislocated ankle. Skattebo underwent surgery on Sunday night at a Philadelphia-area hospital. "If all is good and clean and the surgery went as well as everyone believes, he should be back with no issues for next year," Rapoport adds. "It's a gruesome injury, but the recovery is actually not as bad."

Hat Trick For Cam Skattebo In Week 6

Giants RB Cam Skattebo punched in three rushing TDs in Thursday night's upset win over the Eagles. The scores came from 4, 1, and 1 yards out -- and all showcased Skattebo's trademark bruising running style. The rookie ran with his usual reckless abandon all night, finishing with 98 yards on 19 totes (5.2 YPC). Skattebo had five carries and 50 yards on the Giants' 6-minute, 50-second drive to ice the game at the end of the fourth quarter.

Tyrone Tracy Back For Week 6

Giants RB Tyrone Tracy (shoulder) is off the final injury report and will play vs. the Eagles on Thursday night. He was seemingly losing the lead job to RB Cam Skattebo before going down in Week 3, and we're expecting Tracy to return as the clear No. 2 RB. He shouldn't be in Week 6 fantasy lineups, but his return adds some risk to Skattebo's profile.

Giants "Optimistic" Tyrone Tracy Will Play Week 6

Giants RB Tyrone Tracy (shoulder) was limited in Tuesday's practice. HC Brian Daboll said afterward that he's "optimistic" that Tracy will be back for Thursday night's game vs. the Eagles. Tracy was losing the lead job to RB Cam Skattebo even before going down in Week 3, and we're expecting him to return as the clear No. 2 RB. But he could siphon at least a few touches from Skattebo.

        Tyrone Tracy INACTIVE

Giants RB Tyrone Tracy (shoulder) is inactive for today’s game against the Saints. He returned to a limited practice on Friday, which should set him up to play in Week 6. Cam Skattebo will dominate backfield work again today.

Tyrone Tracy Doubtful For Week 6

Giants RB Tyrone Tracy (shoulder) is listed as doubtful for Sunday’s game against the Saints. That boosts his chances of making it back for Week 6, but Tracy isn’t going to play in New Orleans. That means another heavy workload for RB Cam Skattebo.

Tyrone Tracy Out For Week 4

Giants RB Tyrone Tracy (shoulder) is out for Sunday’s game against the Chargers. He’s expected to miss 2-4 weeks with the dislocated shoulder he suffered last week. That leaves Cam Skattebo as New York’s clear lead back – and a top-24 RB in the Week 4 Rankings.

Tyrone Tracy Expected To Miss 2-4 Weeks

Giants RB Tyrone Tracy is expected to be out for 2-4 weeks with the dislocated shoulder he suffered in Sunday night's loss to the Chiefs, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports. It's about the best-case scenario for Tracy. But he'll be at elevated risk of re-injury and likely see his performance as a pass catcher suffer when he returns. Tracy's absence will give rookie Cam Skattebo a chance to lay claim to the lead RB job. He played 70% of the Giants' snaps and handed 8 of 12 RB carries after Tracy went down in Week 3. RB Devin Singletary got the other four rush attempts.
